  • Starting to regret this
Okay so I got this to replace my old NAS PC. I figured, it would be more convenient and it's powerful enough to handle a home NAS. I was going to get a well known name brand but I said to myself "let's give this one a shot". So I did. I'm starting to regret it. Sadly this unit has some issues. I'm not sure if it's the hardware or Windows 10. It comes with Windows 10 Home, which sucks. It constantly annoys me with questions. The startup was like pulling teeth. It took 20 minutes just to get setup. Purely the fault of Microsoft. Additionally, because this is windows 10 home, you get no RDP. So you must install something like TigerVNC and then make sure you configure the firewall for it. As for the hardware: The first problem was USB drives. You must go into BIOS and disable all other boot options or this will attempt to boot them instead of the internal drive. It doesn't matter how you prioritize it. It will still hang! So disable them. I had multiple instances of this unit running horrible slow. Sometimes it will hang for no reason at all. Not locking up, but it refused do anything but allow you to hit CTRL-ALT-DEL for task manager and force a logout. Just loading up file manager takes 20-30 seconds sometimes. It's behavior has been very odd and unreliable. Also, I'm having an issues with my external (Probox 4-Bay USB3.0) hard drive enclosure. It will turn itself off it it detects any loss of connection. Guess what happens after a few minutes? It shuts off. There is no USB suspend option in the power plan settings so I can't look for that as a possible solution. The other drive (Seagate 5TB) doesn't show up at all, no matter which port I plug it into. These are self powered drives. So it's not a power issue. Plus they work flawlessly on my other PC's. I'm going to fiddle with this thing and see if I can get it to work reliably and serve the purpose I intended. If I manage to get it working I will post an update with advice for others and promote it with more stars. If I cannot....it's getting returned. I need something reliable. 1 hour later: - Won't shutdown. I even tried a shutdown command in cmd window. Had to reboot it manually. - Back into BIOS to enable all USB options. - Won't start up fully. Hangs at black screen after entering password. - Manually reset again. - Won't boot again. Keyboard isn't even being detected. Nothing I press works. - Reset again manually. - After entering windows password it hangs again at black screen. - USB drive turns off all by itself. Wow.. Forget it. At this point I can see the writing on the wall. Anything that gives you this much trouble from the start just raises red flags. It should work without all this hassle. It's getting returned. ... show more

  • Everything in a small package.
The Beelink AP34 Pro has everything I need, my only regret is storage capacity but I'm planing on adding a M.2 2242 SSD, which by the way aren't to easy to find, the popular one is the 2280, but in my understating is not suitable for this Beelink AP34 Pro, anyway, it has what it offers. Last sunday I had trouble connecting to my monitor, HDMI and DVI, my desktop is connected to DVI and AP34 to HDMI, I did the selection in my monitor to HDMI but it was blue, I thought it was the Beelink idling, try to get help from beelink, they never send the comfirmation email, 4 hours later, tried again and it wouldn't accep my email address, it saidm it wasn't correct, check it but it was correct, try several times and got the same, so I decide to play around with the monitor controls, my problem was resolved, it was me, not the AP34. So, you can find out the reasons for the stars in my features rating. Would I recomend it, definitely YES, would ask for better tech support: YES, would ask for more memory: YES, although 64 is enough to install the programs I need on this computer. ... show more

  • Bad PC, Poor Service
After one day, this PC will not power on. I tried everything possible (different outlet, reset button,,,,,) it will not power on. I sent a message to the seller (per Amazon's Tech Support's instructions, since they couldn't help me), told them of all the steps I took, then got an email advising me to do them all over. The kicker, they told me to start the PC, when it boots, use the reset button. Uh,,, duh. "it will not power on". How do you boot and reset a PC that does not power on. Not having another power cord, I bought one, and boom, it started up. After 10 minutes it died again and will not power on. Therefore like I mentioned to them, it has to be the motherboard (chipset, internal connection,,,). So rather than sending a replacement out immediately, they had me mess around on and off for three days. I don't know what your time is worth, but the time I've spent trying to get this thing to power up, is worth a lot more than this $100 bad PC. SEND ME A REP:ACEMENT AND QUIT MAKING ME WASTE MY TIME!!!!! ... show more

  • Computer for art design & editing
I was looking for something to do art design/editing and scanning and didn't want to spend a $1,000 on a new computer so I thought I'd give this a try. It's very small and compact and comes in nice packaging. Very easy to setup, simply plug in the power cable and your hdmi cable and you're good to go. I'm able to run both illustrator and photoshop at the same time and there's no lag or delay. Perfect for what I need it for and I'm happy with the purchase. Definitely recommend for the price and what you get. ... show more

  • Works fine
I used this device in my home theater set-up, and it seems to work fine. I'd rather have one without Win10 preinstalled, but you have to pay extra for that seems like. The built in blue tooth is 4.0 version, and there are newer versions available on other units, but this works fine in my system. Only complaint is the Win10 operating system. ... show more
