  • Glad I got it over the Littmann
Color: Tactical All Black
At first let me say that before I purchased this stethoscope I had decided on the Littmann Master Cardiology. I know that often times one pays more for the name, but in most cases I'm OK with that as the name usually deserves the good reputation and in the case of the Littmann, that definitely stands. The Master Cardiology is a fantastic stethoscope. However, as I was doing my research on the Littmann MC I began to find more and more people mentioning and recommending this Adscope Cardiology stethoscope over the Littmann MC. These weren't just average users either, these were cardiologists, cardiology nurses, ICU nurses, and other such qualified people. So I decided to look into it. All I can say is that I am extremely glad I did. I will not repeat their reviews here, you can read them yourself if you would like. Right out of the box, this scope was amazing. The audio quality and volume is astounding. The very first time I tried it out, I was amazed. Mind you, I am not coming from a poor stethoscope either. My previous scope was an original HP Sprague, one of the best of it's kind. For those of you who know your scopes, you know what I'm talking about. But this new scope, simply blew me away. The sheer volume of what I was hearing was incredible. The binaurals are sturdy and the spring is tight. The earpieces are very comfortable. I switched to the larger set that came with the scope as I prefer to have all background noise blocked out when I'm auscultating. I literally can't hear a thing outside of the scope when I am wearing it. The head is heavy, like most cardiology scopes. I find it slipping down towards the direction of the head when I wear it around my neck. The tube is thicker than the Littmann, but that's no big deal. The tube does, however, have a seemingly permanent bend that matches the way it came in the box. This is somewhat annoying as it tends to only like to lie one way around my neck. As far as the bend causing issues when using the scope, none to worry about. As of this review, I have used the scope on approximately 60+ pediatric assessments and 20+ adult assessments. I didn't necessarily purchase this scope for pediatric assessments, it just happened to work out that way with my current rotations. These assessments went from very sick kids, to infants, to adults with a-fib. The scope performed flawlessly. In fact, my compadres keep borrowing it from me to listen to their own patients (they all have Littmanns, but not cardiology scopes). To top it all off, let's face it, the all black design is sexy! And with a name like, "The Ninja" how can you go wrong? Ha! The color looks awesome. I have noticed a very small spot on one of the edges of the head where it looks like the black is wearing off. I'm not too happy about that. But, I can live with it. This is one amazing scope. I paid half the price of the Littmann MC and I feel like I get better performance. Of course, it's mine so my opinion may be a little biased, but in any case, the performance is AT LEAST as good as the Littmann Master Cardiology and, it's half the price. Buy one! You won't regret it. On a side note, the little name tag thing that comes with this scope is junk. It's cheap plastic and doesn't really fit. Throw it out and find some other way to make it yours. ... show more

  • Works beautifully for my deaf ears!
Color: Metallic Ceil Blue
I have spent a frustratingly long period of time searching for a stethoscope I can rely on. I am hard of hearing in my left ear, and my right side isn’t doing so hot either. I struggle sometimes with obtaining just a simple blood pressure reading in a quiet setting—or at least I did before I tried this stethoscope! I work in the pre-hospital setting, with some of the noisiest, bounciest environments you can imagine. Lung sounds are a critical vital sign in this field, and now I can finally hear all of them. I’ve tried numerous styles of Littman and quite frankly, I’m totally unimpressed. Electronic stethoscopes are the bee’s knees, but way too pricey for me to justifiably purchase right now. When I tried a friend’s adscope, I was amazed. And I’m beyond happy with my decision to purchase this one. It’s gorgeous, for one. I receive compliments on the color all the time. It’d be difficult for someone to “mistake” it for their own. More importantly: I can hear absolutely everything. Every little crackle of fluid, every faint wheeze…I’m fairly certain I can hear the heart thinking about a beat before it actually beats. As others have mentioned, it is a bit heavier than other brands. It takes a little bit to adjust to how it feels around your neck, and how to position it so it doesn’t keep sliding off to the side. But even if it was twice as heavy, I’d still use it and love it just as much! I’ve lent it to coworkers to try out, and they’re blown away with the sound clarity. I’m telling you, this is the best scope on the market. ... show more

  • Quality stethoscope at a great price point
Color: Black
First off, I am Dual certified FNP(10years)/ENP (5years), with 10 years of prior ICU experience (CCU,MICU,SICU,CVICU,BICU). Also years of Code Team and Rapid Response Team Lead. I have owned Littmann scopes, MDF scopes, ERKA scopes, Peil scopes, and many more. I ordered this after my more recently owned ERKA scope had a fatal accident and due it being painstaking to find or get replacement parts I decided to purchase this stethoscope. I am impressed with its performance thus far. The quality of this particular scope is comparable to any Littmann scope I’ve owned and used… including the master cardiology series. The tubing is flexible with dual lumens, the ear tips are soft and fit well and the bell with its pressure sensitive diaphragm are sturdy and lightweight. Extraneous sounds are minimal with proper use making this one of the better scopes I used in a very long time. The price is almost half that of many top tier stethoscopes of well known brands, making this a great investment for many clinicians. This will be my primary scope to use day in and out, the others will be relinquished to being a backup in case this is lost, stolen or damaged. Also there is a lifetime warranty on all parts. Very satisfied with this stethoscope! ... show more

  • Better than my Littmann classic
Color: Iridescent Tactical
Came back to update while debating buying a second one- by far the best stethoscope I’ve ever had. I don’t think i will ever have a better stethoscope in this price range. I literally gave away my littman after getting this one because it was such garbage in comparison. I have a littmann classic, I’ve never been able to hear out of it very well. It’s so popular I literally thought it was just me and my hearing. I opened this stethoscope and heard an immediate difference. This thing is amazing. The sound is clearer, zero background noise interference, I’m not struggling to hear what I need to hear. This thing is an absolute game changer. If you’re thinking about this or a littmann. Don’t even waste your time or money on those just to have the “popular” brand. This thing is worth every penny. Littmann may be known for durability, but I’d rather have a stethoscope that works the way it’s supposed to in the moment than one that lasts 10 years. BUY THE 600 ... show more
