But damnnn God! this are some seriously nice looking cards, the back of each card has a nice shimmer to them, and the art work on the faces is pretty good. People Will Actually Walk Off With These!! I am in an old west gunfighters' group in Oklahoma. We bought these cards for a special show last month that was outside in Texas...very windy weather predicted. They were FANTASTIC! Our 3 poker tables (pre gunfight) had these cards and even with a stiff Texas breeze, our poker playing actors didn't have to chase errant cards flying away. My extended family plays a game of German Rummy that requires two decks. We played this game at every single family event for the past FIVE decades. I had purchased Bicycle Brand Prestige plastic playing cards TEN YEARS ago and we played that set really hard. After ten years, the cards finally wore out and people could determine certain cards due to specific damage to the cards, and the double deck was retired. These cards were found and purchased because of the Black Friday deal. ($6.47 versus $10) I purchased SIX decks total, (two decks) to be given as gifts to various family members and to replace the retired deck. All four family members who have had their hands on these cards, HATE them. They are extremely slick and you cannot shuffle and bridge the cards without scattering them all over the table or onto the floor. This is by a person that does sleight of hand card tricks and shuffles cards like a pro. The silver/gold on black is extremely hard to read without extremely good lighting in the room. I went out and bought a NEW Bicycle Brand Prestige cards at the store to be sure my memory and experienced with them was valid (new versus ten year old cards) and had no particular issues shuffling, dealing, or reading the cards. While the art on the cards is interesting, with intricate details on the face cards, these cards FAIL in the most important aspects of being playing cards. I really wish I had simply purchased the Bicycle Brand Prestige plastic playing cards and not attempted to save some money on some fancy cards that are terrible at being playing cards. ... show more
