This is a great germination hood and I really like that it has vents not only on top but on the sides as well which allows you to easily setup a fan to get some air circulation once your seeds have germinated. It’s also very sturdy and as usual with AC Infinity products it looks great.

Kit comes complete with high quality components. AC Infinity has put together a great kit with some real thought. The hardware for the extension panels is plastic so rust wont be a problem. Love the Height and the quality. Works very well and is easy to hook up. The lights snap in very nice on the outside so you can spray the inside all you want. Not the best for seeds I found out but my clones look amazing and it’s day 4 so we will see. AC Infinity always comes through in quality!!!

I did a LOT of shopping around and researching the various propagation domes on the market and the ACI one is by far the best. Hard, thicker plastic as opposed to the super thin, cheap plastic that others use. This one does come with the extensions to raise it up, as in the picture. Got my Lady in there and she thrived! I know it’s more expensive than the others on the market, but there’s a reason for that. You won’t be disappointed. ... show more

This one was a little bit of a challenge to build, plastic nuts and screws broke on me a few times wish there was a way to know the international temperature without a thermostat you put in the dome separately.     • Good Propagation Kit

I spent some time reviewing different options for seed/clone propagation from simple trays to auto cloners. Decided on this kit as it had everything needed for a good solid start and had a dome extender for taller clones. The kits comes on one box and was well packaged to prevent any damage. Everything appears to be well made and thought out. Even the packaging was a step above most less expensive options. Items were protected with heavy plastic zip bags, foam inserts and cardboard. The humidity dome is solid plastic and should not break with casual handling. The dome extender is easily put together with included screws/wingnuts. The extender allows for seedlings up to about 10" in height to fit under the dome. Several other reveiws noted that they didn't receive the extender. There are several products offered in the product description and the Large Dome kit does not include the extenders. Be sure the check the specific product you are ordering to insure it includes the extender if you want that. All other items included in the Full Dome kit were exactly as described. The seedling tray is even a good plastic thickness to last over many uses. The seedling openings are 1.5"x1.5" at the top and slightly taper down towards the bottom. Rockwool cubes of 1.5" square size will fit all the way down in these. There are two dome lights which fit into notches at the top of the dome not tight enough if turned upside down but not sloppy either. As some reviewers have noted, the dome lights extend almost to the edge but are one LED short on each side. I didn't see this as a defect but rather the way to kit was designed in case you choose to use different lights than what was included in this kit. The light controller has several scheduling options so you don't have to use a timer. The heat pad is a bit longer than the dome itself. It's controller is more simple in that it just adjusts from low to high but no exact temperature reading. All in all, this kit is well made, includes all that you need to start or for small operations. You can certainly get by with DIY options or buying everything piece by piece. But if you'd rather have everything in one set and ready to get started for a reasonable price, this is a very nice kit. ... show more

    • 3rd review update - Avoid!

The media could not be loaded. 3rd and final review - I am done with this unit and will return it. The final straw was the advertised feature of the lighting which is that they are magnetic, which is. It accurate. I need to remove the tray now since the humidity dome is not able to ventilate properly to get below a 90% humidity. Since the lights sit on the dome, I need to mount them to the shelf above or else the plants will not have light after the dome is removed. So I set up the magnets to attach the lights to only to find out that they aren’t magnetic at all. This tray, dome, and other he light all suck. They are going back ASAP and I will piece together a good solution and abandon the ecosystem. 2nd review - The original review is below. My original view was that the kit was ok, but not designed well or high quality. I pointed out issued in the design as I first noticed them, each of which continues to be valid. However, after completing a sprouting cycle it is worth noting that this solution has more issues. First, I noted that I had concerns that the light concentration was 10x higher in the center than at the edges and that there was a possibility for plants on the outside to become leggy. This played itself out with a complete loss of plants in the outside columns and very poor quality plants one column in. Additionally, the taper of the lid caused the outside plants to come in contact with the wall, retain moisture, and die. This is also partly due to the units inability to vent out moisture with its small and ineffective vents. Humidity hovered between 87% and 95% even with the heat pad turned off. For the plants that did survive, they were difficult to remove due to the deep recess and small drainage hole that bound up the roots. All in all, not worth it. Will return. Dropping to two stars and will start looking for another solution. I cover most aspects in the video, but the shortcomings include light uniformity based on a lighting kit that is too short, tight tapered edges that will crowd the outside plants, and the lack of an extender as mentioned in some of the materials. I feel that it is worth the price based on the light integration with UIS and the quality of the heating pad but AC Infinity can do better and should address the shortcomings detailed in the video. ... show more
