  • Quick and easy to learn but fun at all ages! True to the time on box
Edition: Combo Pack: Base Game + Expansion
This game has become a new hit both with my friends and my family. I and my friends are in our early or mid-20s and are serious board game players and fanatics, and my siblings are ages ranging from young teens to young adults, and do not usually play board games outside of the standard family classics. It is a simple pattern building game, and the cards and game are all very well explained and easy for anyone to pick up and understand. It is also accurate to the time on the box, only takes about 20 minutes to play the base version, maybe a little bit longer on the expansion. Definitely not close to an hour on either. It's fun, too, building some competitiveness between players but also you can't help but root for the other players when they are having fun and get lucky when they are able to make the correct moves to complete their duck formations. The expansion is totally worth it, once you play the base game once players can easily pick up the expansion super well. Also, it's pretty well designed and the ducks are very nice, especially the glitter ducks - oh, and the METALLIC formation cards are just beautiful! Very well made game. ... show more

  • Very fun and challenging.
Edition: Abducktion: Base Game
Our family loves games, especially games that require strategy to win. This game has the right amount of luck and strategy to make the game challenging and fun. Each round only takes between 15-30 minutes making it easy to play quick games, but it can also be tailored for longer more challenging games. The game pieces are very well made, so this will hold up for decades. The only thing I wished I knew before I purchased it is that it is a four player (or teams) game. I should have bought the expanded version for six players. Now I’ll have to buy the expansion pack. Overall a great game. ... show more

  • So fun!
Edition: Abducktion: Base Game
This game is super fun. It takes a little practice to find your groove, but once you do, you’ll be hooked. The directions are well written and I loved how on theme they were! This is a fantastic 2 player game for couples and can easily be played with more people as well. The quality of the game pieces is surprising high as well! Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Easy to learn, really fun!
Edition: Combo Pack: Base Game + Expansion
My friends and I love the game. The pieces are heavy and feel really solid (just be aware that they could cause a serious choking hazard). The game is really easy to learn, but infinitely playable. I really like that it forces me to think in a way that I don't usually think. I love puzzles, but this game forces me to think in a way that I don't usually think, namely, in 3-dimensional space (sort of). This is great for 2 players or more. Because it doesn't require any reading or writing, it is an ideal game for visual people! ... show more

  • Fun game with cute ducks
Edition: Combo Pack: Base Game + Expansion
This is a fun game and very aesthetically pleasing. The art work is beautiful and the ducks are fun. The game isn't super easy to play, as like many games, there are a lot of directions to read before understanding how to play. My kids and I love it, but we are a thinking bunch who like a challenge and don't mind a complex game. Santa brought this game for Christmas, and we have played it quite a number of times with a bunch of different family members and friends. Not everyone loves it. It is very complex, there is a bit of set up, and there is a lot of reading especially on understanding what you can do with each action card. The object of the game is to create specified patterns with colored ducks to get points. The person with the most points at the end of the game wins. The game ends when the number of pattern cards you choose to use are completed. A simple concept, and a valid game. The difficulty comes in with moving the ducks into the desired pattern. You pick ducks out of the spaceship (which is super fun and cute!!) to use. Trying to achieve the patterns can be frustrating. My sister hates this game as she didn't like having to think for fun and gets frustrated. My sons love it as does my niece. The downsides of this game are that it is not really interactive and it can be slow as each person has to take what can be a lot of time on their turn to try to get their ducks into the pattern with the most points. Sometimes there is also confusion on how the ducks can be moved using the drawn action card. The game can take a long time and can be slow moving. Despite this, we love this game and continue to play it. It is a great game for people who like patterns, spatial manipulation, and involved, thoughtful games! Plus it is a beautifully put together game with nice artwork and hilarious wording. And also, who doesn't love cute mini ducks!! ... show more

  • Quacks me up!
Edition: Combo Pack: Base Game + Expansion
This game is unbelievably fun! Friends and I were a little hesitant to try a game we’d never heard of but once we got it? We couldn’t get enough. The game isn’t some massive board to set up, it’s a few individual pieces that are the perfect size for everyone. There’s a massive variety of combinations you can do to make the game feel fresh and new each time and with the addition of the expansion? It just gets that much better!! The price for both the game and the expansion bundle wasn’t bad either. Def worth it. The directions were easy to understand and quick to learn! Took us maybe half a round to get into the groove and once we did it was hilarious. Theres so many hilarious sayings and conversations on the bottom of the formation cards too! Don’t forget to take the time to read them! ... show more

  • Ducky!
Edition: Combo Pack: Base Game + Expansion
This is a fun game for 2-6. It's easy to learn the basics, but can be challenging and strategic, especially when using the expansion. Lot's of fun.

  • Great game!
Edition: Combo Pack: Base Game + Expansion
My daughter and I really enjoy playing Abducktion. The game play is simple, though there’s some strategy needed if you want to really compete. The pieces are great, and everything is well made. And what could be more fun theme-wise than something this offbeat and out there?
