So I have 4 kids a wife, a bunch of pets, a couple girlfriends, (dont tell the wife). Anyway, we used to go thru batteries like it was candy and cake, meaning a lot of batteries. So many batteries I would regularly fill one gallon ziplock bags with used ones. I didnt want them in the regular trash and brought them to our recycling center. Well, I would take approximately 1-2 bags a month. They were heavy and almoast always broke open on the ride over. And they took up a good chunk of cabinet space, and we need all the space we can get. So now that I have rechargeables all that is no more. No saving, no carrying, no more buying, no more girlfriends cuz my wife found out! So no more of so many things I never realized how much it was costing in money, time and space, (girlfriends are costly let me tell you). It truely is life changing. And the switch over was easy. So, instead of buying batteries for the month, I started buying rechargeables and little by little the battery powered devices started all having rechargeables. Now instead of tossing them I put them on the 16 space charger and when done they get put into a charged battery bucket. Everyone gets fresh batteries from there whenever needed. It is so satisfying to not have to spend all that money. Now it took about 6 months to get everything switched over because I didnt want to spend anymore than I was already spending on batteries so it took longer for us to get where we are today and that is 100% rechargeables. And they last just as long, work just as well , and cost zero each month. Now, I expect to spend a few bucks in another year or so to replace any that start to fail, but thats an enormous savings compared to the old way, and it didnt hurt one bit making the switch. So I cant say enough good about rechargeables and Im not allowed to mention the girlfriends anymore, but now that the batteries arent an issue and I dont have to deal with all those things those old batteries required my wife is much happier. I use a Powerex Charger to charge my batteries. It's akin to a smart charger that enables refreshing, discharging, and reading the exact capacity of the batteries. 9 batteries showed 900Mah on average and they're working fine, but 3 won't stop charging and I had to manually pull them out to stop the charge. 3 are duds but I still think they're okay in terms of bang for the buck if you plan on using them on non-critical devices, such as remotes and clocks. Just be sure to use name-brand batteries on devices that you depend on to work at all times. UPDATE #1: I received a message from this seller after making this review. I was asked to send a video or photo that best describes the problem. I responded; "Thank you but no thank you" because I wasn't gonna spend an hour recording the charging process and how the 3 duds won't stop charging. Long story short, the seller is serious about their reputation and they do stand behind the quality of their product 100 percent because shortly thereafter, I received a full refund for the purchase of their batteries. From now on, every rechargeable battery I buy will be from this company. The confidence you gain for a product when a seller is this serious about customer satisfaction is unmatched. For what is worth, Powerowl gets my seal of approval. UPDATE #2: Bought another set of 12 on April 4th, 2024. All 12 went through the battery analyzer break-in cycle and all 12 completed the cycle successfully. The capacity for the 12 batteries ranges from 860Mah to 900Mah. If you're wondering about the less-than-advertised capacity, then don't because like it or not this is the industry standard practice. All the name brands will show about 10 to 15 percent less capacity than their advertised claim. I'm not saying that it's a righteous practice, but that that's just the way things are. When I first got them, all was great. I charged them and they worked fine. After I let a few of them go for a few days dead, 3 of them wouldn't charge back up and showed errors on my charger. Other than that they are great batteries, just make sure not to let them stay dead for too long.

This item works well to recharging AA and AAA batteries. The AAA batteries included seem to have good capacity, as I've been using some of the batteries in remotes, computer mouse, and keyboard for maybe 3 weeks or so, and I haven't needed to recharge them. When I initially received the package, the bottom of the box was already open and some batteries were missing, but Amazon was able to rectify that, which I greatly appreciate. For rechargeable AA batteries, I ordered the green amazon basics, as they have good MaH capacity at an affordable price. Tip for use: Instead of charging all the batteries when you receive the item, just charge the number of batteries that you need to replace at that particular time. This will save little bit of electricity, but more importantly, the remaining batteries can remain in mint condition until those batteries you have used wear out and need replacing with the fresh ones. ... show more
