I replaced my OEM tensioner with this and it somehow seemed to fail and snap the mounting bolt off in the engine block??? I have no idea why this would've occurred , maybe it was something else on my vehicle but this is the part where it broke. Also, the metal is pretty soft so DO NOT USE A 12-point WRENCH ON THE TENSIONER TO MOVE IT!!!! Go rent the serpentine belt tool from autozone and make sure you have a 19MM 6POINT socket . ... show more

The metal used was easily stripped, I finished installing the tensioner and tried putting the serpentine belt on but it stripped. And yes I did use a 19mm wrench. Ended up swapping the pulley and using the old bracket. The only good part to come from this was the pulley. Furthermore, the tensioner had alot of slack on it, easily moved by forcing it with your hand. ... show more
