  • Composer book
Perfect for any music teacher

  • Just what our studio has been looking for!
These books are exactly what we have been looking for. Our studio, Fox Music Instruction (find us on Facebook), has a focus on inspiring our students to explore the depth of expression found in classical music. Because of this, we have found it somewhat difficult to source arrangements of classical masterpieces that are appropriate for the level of our students. These books address that need wonderfully. There are around a dozen "First books" focusing on a single composer's works and two other books that are more general and help students explore many different composers' works in the same book. The only downside to the series is that there are no offerings specifically suited to primer or early level 1 students. These books are more levels 2-4 approximately. However, that does not detract from the value of what is offered in my view. We have decided to implement these books as a regular part of the repertoire curriculum for our students (who are of the right level) henceforth. In summation, while these books may not suit the needs of every student or studio, they do a wonderful job suiting the vision of our studio and the needs of many of our students! ... show more

  • An unorthodox use is planned
I really wish my purchase of this sheet music was so I could regale myself with beautiful classical music played on my baby grand, but alas I never advanced very far in my piano lessons (I don't have a baby grand anyway). Instead, my plan for this is to use it as background paper for greeting cards. I will tear it, crinkle it up, smooth it out, stain it with tea or Tim Holtz' products and alter it in ways I haven't yet determined. The arrangements are pretty simple in appearance, but I think as background paper no one will notice at all. My apologies to Messrs. Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, Tchikovsky, et al. I promise to listen to recordings of your works while I craft. ... show more

  • Suitable music for my students
I bought this book so that my piano students could consider what SIMPLIFIED classical music they might want to play. It seems suitable to their difficulty level, or at least the easier pieces are, and it is whetting their appetite for more. The biographical notes are concise and well-written. Make sure that the difficulty level is right before you buy this, though. The pieces are simplified, but not for the first piano lesson. ... show more

  • Nice selection but no finger hints
Great selection and simplification but finger numbers are missing ... I think for this level finger numbers should be indicated at least for the first note or when hands move ... Otherwise too much for the beginner to deal with

  • Study the Classics at your own level of piano 🎹 education.
I love this book...sheet music easy to read due to not crowded and font is awesome. No squinting to see notes and it’s an excellent addition for beginner.
