Not sure if I didn't read the description or if I just assumed these would be as big as a pencil. But they're only about 4" long. It doesn't change the effectiveness of the stirrers. I use them to mix paint and was looking for an alternative to the disposable plastic coffee stirrers that I was using. These can be easily washed off and reused. I did bend 2 of them as I was opening them. They come in a large flat, thin box about 10" x10". I didn't realize I had only removed 7 from the box and bent the box to throw it out and I damaged 2 of them My fault. But be careful you get them all out of the box. Its a big box for such tiny stix. And they're individually wrapped. Still giving them 5 stars because they can be reused and I can mix paint right in my pallette. ... show more

I really like these little stir sticks. They feel nice and hefty and sturdy for their small size - they aren't flimsy or overly bendy, which I think is common with silicon products. The colors are also quite fun and vibrant. I use these for stirring resin. My one complaint, which isn't really about the product itself, is that each of the 9 stir sticks were wrapped in individual, plastic sleeves, which just feels wasteful and unnecessary. Got these for personal use eyebrow waxing sticks. They work well. They have a stiff form with a slight bend to them when pressure is applied. Good width. The dried wax peels right off making them perfect for waxing.
