Because they are flat when you get them they are difficult to get on, especially the outside bolts. I ended putting those on first.

    • Renewal kit for Toro PowerClear 721 brings it back to new condition
I had an old Toro snowblower that had lost some of its capacity to deal with our winter snow. I didn't realize how much the paddles wear down over time and that the wear affects the machine's ability to throw snow. I installed new blades, scraper, drive belt, and gas components and was amazed at how the snowblower operated as if it was new. I did not use Toro replacement parts, but used third party replacement parts. They worked great and saved a lot of money. That experience motivated me to obtain this renewal kit for my newer Toro PowerClear 721 snowblower. I haven't installed it yet, but I am impressed with the packaging and quality of the materials provided. As snowblower blades shrink down with wear, they need to be replaced from time to time to maintain the capacity of the snowblower to throw the snow. It's also important to replace gasoline components as well. Most gasoline contains ethanol which tends to eat away at the fuel components, especially the primer button. While the kit did not include installation instructions, the replacement process is pretty straightforward, and you can find Youtube videos that help. A suggestion: look for gas stations that sell ethanol-free gasoline for your snowblower, lawnmower, and other gas-fueled tools. It costs a bit more, but it will eliminate the problem of ethanol eating away at your components. I live in Utah and we have some gasoline stations here that sell ethanol-free gas alongside their normal gasoline grades. ... show more
