  • Wonderful price
Size: 2011-2016 Color: Plastic Cap
I was in need of this item, mine was leaking oil badly. Had never changed or known about a oil cooler for this engine before. We thought that it would be a dealer item only. With that in mind I stop at the parts store to see if they would have it or even get a name of the part to go to a dealer. The parts guy told me to try Amazon, to my surprise, I found a listing for the part and the price floored me, and it would be delivered that evening. The parts guy found one also through them, but it would take three days to get and $305.00 to buy it. The amazon price did worry me some, but after getting it, it fit well, has performed well. Too this point every happy. ... show more

  • Great value!
Size: 2011-2016 Color: Plastic Cap
Good quality, had all gaskets and hardware. Fit great and works fine. It says don't lube the seals, and you don't have to, but there is one o-ring on the part that pushes into the block. LUBE IT! If you don't the o-ring will leak and you will be doing this again.

  • Excellent upgrade from the plastic OEM part
Size: 2011-2016 Color: Plastic Cap
This is a great replacement part for the 3.6L Pentastars. I bought my 2011 JGC in '16. I'm just under 170K mile on 'er. Noticed the smell of coolant coming from the engine over the last month or so, but could never see a leak under the truck or in the engine bay. Did some good ol' YT diagnosis and it pointed me to a known issue to this engine oil cooler for the 3.6L Pentastar's. The oil cooler was spewing coolant. They also been know to spew oil...luckily, I wasn't loosing oil and only the coolant. The leak only made the engine runabout 20 degrees hotter than normal, never overheated. I replaced the oil cooler this past weekend with this unit that YTers said was a great cast aluminum replacement part. (Yes it's for the 2014's and up, but it's an exact verified fit for the 2011-2013's too, you just have to use replacement oil filters for 2014's). It takes time to do yourself, but it's fairly easy with simple hand tools. There are A LOT of YT videos on how to do this task. This oil cooler kit comes with the oil filter housing / coolant assy., oil pressure & temperature sensors installed, an oil filter installed, new mounting hardware, new improved o-ring seals, and new intake gaskets for both the upper and lower intake manifolds. If you are going to do this job, while you're in there, replace your spark plugs and contemplate your coil packs. I've never had any cylinder misfires, so I did not change my coil packs. ... show more

  • It worked looks well made
Size: 2011-2016 Color: Aluminum Silver Cap
Product arrived on time and packed in a form formed box. I received an extra oil filter and no instructions. I have watched several videos on how to replace it, and I do have mechanical knowledge of repairs. This part does take time to install. Took me about 4 hours but I did not try to get it done fast anyway. I like that it is all aluminum and had all the seals needed and replacement bolts. It went in the space pretty easy I think. Just try not to move it around while positioning it, not to disturb the seals.. I did switch out the new sensors for my old one that I knew were working. Cleaned out all leaked oil and lower intake and replaced the spark plugs while it was all open. My car runs good and so far no leaks, but I have only put about 100 miles on it so far. For the money this part saved me over what others were wanting, this is a very good deal and would recommend to anyone needing a new oil cooler for their 3.6 Chrysler product. Will update if needed. Only 4 star because of no instructions and extra oil filter is of little use since there is no o-ring seal for it. Thanks for a well built oil cooler. Oh and no problem with production flaking in oil or water ports as some others have mentioned. ... show more

  • GREAT upgrade to an old friend!
Size: 2011-2016 Color: Plastic Cap
I bought this as an upgrade to my wife's 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited with the V-6 engine, The original started leaking so needed to be replaced, but I cant complain she has over 260k miles on it and still going strong. I would definatly use this as your replacement!

Size: 2017-2018 Color: Plastic Cap
This fit perfectly. This came fast and was able to get me on the road again quick. Definitely a good price for this part. The installation was easier the. Expected. So far we have not had an issue, this is definitely durable and have had no leaks at this point. I do a lot of driving.

  • No more oil on my driveway
Size: 2011-2016 Color: Aluminum Silver Cap
My 2015 Journey started to drip oil at about 74,000 miles - Great quality, despite the low price…good casting and machining…everything fit perfectly - I did decide to replace the 5 o-rings with real Mopar items, but probably would have been fine with the ones on the new oil cooler…they looked fine to me - sensors worked fine, plugs matched perfectly, new bolts were exactly as stock - I was surprised the kit included 2 oil filters…1 in the box, and one already installed under the cap TIPS: - once you remove the old cooler, you will have a mess to clean up… be ready for it - Drain the coolant before doing this fix. I did not drain it, and made a bigger mess than necessary. Also I may have accidentally got some mixed coolant and oil contamination. - Take the opportunity to replace all 6 spark plugs, while you have easy access to them. - Unplugging the fuel injection electrical connectors are a real pain…they have little plastic locks the break easily - after you are done, clean all the nooks where you see oil had leaked out, including on top of the transmission case, and under the car. Until I did that, I thought I still had a leak…it was just old oil from the original problem that would heat up and drip. TOOLS RECOMMEND: - cheap fluid extraction pump to clean up oil and coolant in block valley ($10) - 1/4” socket set - 1/4” torque wrench - electrical disconnect pliers - e-torque socket (for the 5 bolts that hold the cooler to the block) - hose clamp pliers (for the rubber coolant hose that attaches to nipple on the cooler) ... show more
