  • Worked for me. Good Product.
I have a 2013 Ford F-150, 3.5L V6 EcoBoost. I was having trouble towing up steep grades, truck was starting to overheat. I had a new (Freak-O-Boost) aftermarket radiator installed and had this Trans cooler installed at the same time. The fan kicks on with the radiator fan does. The combination of both seamed to have solved my problem. Trailer fully loaded is about 6,200 lbs. I pulled it up Sherwin grade (on the way to Mammoth, past Bishop in CA). If you have driven the 395, you know the grade. This trans cooler did it's job! If you complain about the noise when it is on, I suggest you drive a Prius then. Fan turns off once temps drop. Good product. ... show more

  • Dropped transmission temp by 10 degrees.
We had a Hummer H2 truck with a transmission that insisted on overheating both in hot weather and while pulling a trailer. Had this transmission radiator & fan combo installed in-line, not parallel, per recommendation of a transmission specialist. Given the H2 doesn't provide room to mount in front of the main radiator, we had to mount it on the frame below and two one side. Even though the location is less than ideal, the fan helps overcome that limitation. The average temp dropped by about 10 degrees. If you can mount it in a better position, you'll likely get even better performance. Our mechanic said the product appears to be good quality. As other reviewers have noted, the fan is fairly noisy, but not enough to be a problem. You'll just notice it in the background when its on. ... show more

  • One of the best products I've added to my 2001 Chevy 1500 HD
One of the best products I've added to my 2001 Chevy 1500 HD!!! It's double the size of my stock transcooler!!! I painted it black so its not so noticable behind the grill. For $13 I bought a wire harness with a 4amp fuse & toggle with a indicator light (to know if its on or off) at O'reilly so far it's good I'm going to put it to the test in a few weeks when I haul my 24ft trailer up the grape vine. Will update again. ... show more

  • Compact high performance forced air cooler with a great price
I bought this cooler to support a hydraulic winch installation on my jeep. I had a custom pump fabricated with significantly higher flow and pressure which translates to higher fluid temperatures especially when pulling. This cooler works great and fits nice and tidy behind my jeep JK grille. I used the enclosed hardware and fastened it right to the cross brace, easy peasy. The fan is loud so be prepared and it is electrically noisey; I can hear it on my CB but not on the radio so that's good. It has a lot of surface area and the fan moves a lot of air, my fluid stays warm but not hot even when pulling hard in 95° ambient and maximum load. This cooler is easy and flexible to install, simple to plumb and should be able to keep your oil, steering, transmission or axles cool. It is a great value for the cost and should provide years of quality performance. ... show more

  • Great buy
You will not regret it trans was always smooth now I can't even phathom the words of smooth due to the product making that an understatement now runs cooler but not to cool even with out the fan I have it tied into the factory harnees so when stock fans come on so does the trans cooler but I also have it tied into and set with a thermostat so when fluid reaches a certain temperature the fan once it has power will engage if it has not reached the set temperature it will not however engage thirdly I have also wired in a manual switch with fuse to just have that if I feel the need to kick on the fan to help the trans cooler cool things down a bit but In my time of owning such a wonderful product she has only kicked on twice due to trans oil reaching my set tempature AWSOME FREAKING BUG KE3P OT UP MISHIMOTO OHH AND DONT FORGET 99.9% OF TRUE MISHIMOTO PRODUCT HAVE A LIFETIME WARRANTY!!!!! ... show more

  • Satisfied on 6.2L SS
Fan is pretty strong hits condecer and my mishimoto radiator as well dropped 9 degrees on my coolant temp on my radiator. That's not even part of this assembly trans cooler. Pretty cool! Not gonna lie it's kinda loud if on just by itself. But I'm on straight x pipe so my camaro pretty much kills the fan sound. I used a harness that came with my replacement for "fog lights harness and fuse". So a led harness will work for maybe 15 bucks. Then getting the 70 bucks one from mishimoto. ... show more

  • Get Big Stacker Type instead , for heavy towing.
Did not lower the temp as much as I had hoped. Would try a big Stacker Type if I did it again. Only lowered the Temp 30* This was my second Serpentine type. First one didn't have a fan. Still getting temperatures up to 225* on long hot pulls of my 3500lb Casita TT with my 05 4Runner v6. I run synthetic fluid. ... show more
