These rechargeable batteries are not bad at all. We wanted them to use on things that hubby and I use daily so we don't have to constantly buy replacement batteries. We have officially replaced all the batteries in our toothbrushes and TV or appliance controllers with these rechargeable batteries and we are so happy that we have made that change. With how expensive everything is these days, it's good to know that we don't have to worry about having to buy batteries any time soon. The kit comes packaged in a translucent, hard side plastic box with curved slots cut into the ribs inside to fit each battery securely. The box also has enough room to fit one of the two double charging cables (more on those later) easily along with all four AAA batteries. I tried different ways to fit both double cables with all the batteries but it wasn’t really practical that way. But, that’s okay considering you will almost always have some of the batteries in use at any given time anyway. I absolutely love this design. Not having to put the batteries in a separate charging box is awesome! I have used different rechargeable battery sets for years and this, in my opinion, is a significant upgrade to an antiquated design. With the proliferation of high-tech gadgets utilizing USB-C for charging these days, those charging cables are always handy around the house so, if the included cables disappear, you don’t lose your ability to charge. Something I always hated about the old way was the hunt for the charger when the batteries went dead like “Let’s see… was that in the junk drawer or the tool box…”. We decided to use these for our electric pepper grinder. I hate using up disposable batteries for something we use fairly often. So the grinder just happens to use four AAA batteries at a time so this kit is a perfect match for it. When the white batteries go dead we just pop the black ones in and plug the whites into our USB wall outlet. Then they just go back in box for the next rotation, perfect. The batteries charge very quickly. I don’t have an exact time but I think it was around 45-50 minutes. The green LED indicator on each battery changes from a blink (charging) to solid green (charged) when complete. I plan to get a set of AA batteries (or more) for use in our remotes and wireless mice. I think these would also be ideal applications for this type of battery. The possibilities are endless. Even if they only last a fraction of the 1000 cycles that the manufacturer advertises, we will have saved a TON of money on disposable batteries. I actually needed some new -AAA- batteries when this nice eight pack became available for review. I am not going to write an extended review on this item because none is needed. This CHICNOD package of eight AAA rechargeable Lithium Ion batteries was review tested and passed with flying colors. For clutter reduction the batteries have the charging port receptacle built in. That is especially nice when you carry them in a backpack or camera gadget bag as I will do. The batteries charged rapidly to a full 100% capacity. My source was a smart charging base. The controlled rate was at a rate of 600 milliamps. The plastic case is a keeper because it has individualized compartments for each single battery. The lid has two snap fasteners that close the lid to the body. Great for storage or for extra batteries for wilderness packing. It might only be around your living room....but why not go on great adventures vicariously? Keep the charging cables with the pack or place somewhere that is designated as what they are for. I have a pocket sized digital laser measure. It only uses two AAA batteries and is a good test case for these rechargeable batteries. Using the laser measure a few times a week or when mapping out the rooms of a house for an hour the batteries were ready when needed. I know my test case is simple but the batteries did do the job for me. ... show more

I've always been a big user of rechargeable batteries, but ever since I ran into these usb ones, that's all I've been using. I already have a nice setup for charging several devices, so it was easy to modify for a spider of cables just for these. Rotating 8 in and out means the few things we have in the house still using standard batteries always have fully charged ones ready to go. ... show more
