I bought this to seal up a large hole in the wall above my network rack. Didn’t want to drywall it up since I had a lot of wires running through the wall. The door looks good when installed and is hardly noticeable. You just need a flat bladed screwdriver to pop it open (I didn’t want a lock on mine). $40 is a bit high and would think this should be in the $20-30 range. Also, the mounting flanges aren’t very long. If you install on 5/8 drywall, you will have to angle your hardware to catch the stud. Mine also arrived slightly bent up as it wasn’t packaged very well, but I was able to straighten it with a rubber mallet ... show more

Very nice product. Works properly, super easy to install. The door is a pivot (not a hinge) so beware of that if you're trying to install something over it. Hinges arent removable so wysiwyg. Other than that, beautifully made and high quality. Well worth the money. I kept it, used it somewhere else and love it. Didn't work for my intended purpose but that's not the manufacturers fault. 4 stars for bad packing. It was just dropped in a fed ex bubble envelope. It arrived scratched and a little bent. I needed to repaint and bend ends for my application so I didnt bother returning it. Lucky for them. I installed it in the rear of my 05 suburban, there is a dead space back under the rear AC unit, I ran power to it, and will place a 750w inverter back there. This gives me quick easy and secure access. The product is solid and firm, yet easy enough to bend/mold to edges. It served my purpose very well. Easy to sand and repaint, you can bend tabs to take out the rattle and loose play. The ckick latch is nice and firm with adjustments. ... show more
