The media could not be loaded. I have a wood stove that has a blower kit that blows air from the back over the top - and while it works, it's really loud. I saw this kit, and had to try it out - here's what I like: - The fan has no power requirements at all. Set it in place, start the stove and when the stove surface hit's around 130°F, the fan will start to operate on its own. - When my stove is at optimum temp, in between 400°F and 475°F, this fan puts out a noticeable breeze, distributing warm air from the surface and putting into the room. - The fan is very quiet - my phone app measured at 3 feet, approximately 22db of noise, around 4db above ambient. If anything else is running like an entertainment system, someone clacking on a computer, it wouldn't be noticed at all. - A wire handle is provided for repositioning the fan while operating. You'll want to use this as the fan body gets very warm during operation. Some comments... - The blades are exposed - there is no shroud. While they can turn pretty fast, there isn't a lot of torque - but still a small child could still be injured (they need to stay away from a lighted stove anyway). - The fan operates even during the cooldown cycle, until the stove surface gets under 130°. The resulting air might be feeling cool at this time. You can pick it up by the wire handle and set it on a cooling brick to shut it down quicker. - Since there isn't a shroud to protect the blades, they look to be susceptible to damage from a drop or knock over. There are no switches so care must be taken. Overall, I really like this fan kit. Once the stove has warmed, you can really feel the added air it's placing into the room. Used in conjunction with a ceiling fan, the air is efficiently circulated without using any extra power. My jury is still out on how long it will last, or how fragile it might be in a tip over - but as I learn more, I'll keep this review updated. ... show more

It worked as it was supposed to. I can't tell the level of heat distribution though, as the blades do not create a breeze (we sit about 10 feet from the small fans). The fans are very quiet. We've only lit 3 fires in the ten days we've had it, but it seems to better distribute the warmth. We are satisfied, and, it's great that the blades rotate from the heat of the wood stove.
