Delivered in time, and wasnt damaged. BUT!! It's a little too narrow, so it's always smudged with butter. I had wider ones which, although didn't have the 'knob', were more practical. Item came in a box the was taped up. Looked like it was a returned item. Upon opening bix, it was obvious it was returned, as there was weird pink foam packing in the box. Overall, the items seem like a quality, weight and material out of glass, however, it will not fit a standard cube of butter. It is way too narrow. I will be returning this item. ... show more

As others have noted, this butter dish, used covered as intended , is almost useless because of the small volume under its cover...a few pats of butter. However, if you discard the cover the base just fits a standard (for our area) 3-1/4 x 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 butter stick in a minimum dish size. That allows us to have a soft-buttter container side-by-side with this dish in the purposed refrigerator butter compartment. The convenience is important enough that I just ordered a replacement for one broken after several years use. ... show more

This butter dish is very cute but the SMALL size won't even work with 3 pats of butter. Too big for the lid. Cutting it into sizes that might work wasn't worth the effort. Sending it back and will try the 6.5" butter dish since it's bigger in size. I love the look of this butter dish and it looks great wherever you place it. It's easy to clean and durable for the price. I gave it 3 stars due to size otherwise, everything about it is fine. ... show more
