My old 2004 OEM Carburetor shut-off valve, was perpendicular (L&R) with the engine's "V" axis. This new shut-off valve is rotated 45 deg away from the engine (forward). This made the grey solenoid wire V-E-R-Y tight. I suspect it will not last long with vibration and likely will short it out. I may have to cut it and extend it with some solder & heat-shrink. It is worth stating, for $24; this new Carb works like a dream, no throttle adjustment was needed. NO more surging or back-fires. It purrs like a kitten on catnip. ... show more

While the price seemed to good to be true....it was. The carb ran fine for roughly 5 hours...then it started bogging down constantly. The same thing happened with 2 other cheap Chinese carburetors I bought for a weed eater and a trimmer. Don't buy these....they do not last.
