This device for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is actually genius. Just another screen that you can apply to your windshield or dash to navigate where you're going, without having to look down at your phone. For starters, I got the device because I was taking some friends home, and I forgot the way to his house, so I used my phone. As I was typing his address on my phone, I casually run a red light, going 30 on a decently busy street. So I bought this device after I got home. At the time, I had a OnePlus 8 5G, which at the time of writing this review, is a 3 year old phone. Multiple times during my drive, it would just disconnect from the device itself, with the only way to get it working again, is to unplug its power source from the car. The same day as I'm writing this review, I had bought a new-to-me Pixel 6 Pro, which keep in mind, is only 2 years old (at the time of writing this review). Once I got it fully setup to where all my apps are there, I went on a 40 minute drive around my city, just wondering if while I'm driving, if it'll disconnect. Conclusion on the drive: There was 1 audio hiccup that it had, but corrected itself basically immediately. There were no disconnections at all on the drive that I had, which was fantastic. Nothing is scary than driving on the highway, with your audio disconnecting and you having to unplug it and plug it back in. Another minor limitation is sometimes the mic on the device will struggle to pick up your voice with the AC on. It might just be how I have it setup. Overall, depending on how new your phone is, you will experience disconnections, as I have had with my OnePlus, with no apparent reason as to why it disconnects. For $100 and easy to setup process, I am no longer disappointed. ... show more

    • Works well and does what it says it does.
CarPlay linked up automatically and works well. Power cord has two usb power slots allowing you to still be able to charge other items while in use. Am considering deleting my phones link to my car as it sometimes creates annoying duplication with both trying to receive calls. It’s large which is nice for viewing gps guidance but because it would block my built in screen that shows my backing cam it’s windshield mounted. In this position in my nearly compact vehicle it is almost too big. Apple makes using the screen mirroring when you’re sitting waiting overly complicated and less useful than it could be. But the device works very well at giving you a nearly hands free interface with your iPhone, automatically reading incoming texts aloud and replying totally hands free with Siri and voice to text. Those functions are improved over the CarPlay I’ve used when we had a rental car. I would recommend this with the caveat that in smaller vehicles it’s almost too large and when screen mounted you have the ever present power cord hanging. Neither are deal killers for me but for some it might be. It has an input for a camera and I believe it’s intended for use with dashcam/backing cam add ons. It also has a usb port and memory card slot. I haven’t really explored their functionality except to know the usb port on the device is also powered, the manufacturer must have devices that can be connected there that interface or expand functions because it has checked for upgraded and compatible devices on each of the three usb ports when I was exploring different device settings.     • Functions fine, but I didn't like few other things
So as far as the device displaying Android Auto wirelessly, it worked fine. I didn't try CarPlay. The speaker was loud enough I thought, but I didn't catch in the description that audio output is only through aux and FM transmitter. These things usually transmit audio with bluetooth so that car audio system can be used w/o aux cable, but not this one. It does not use standard USB port for the power, so I will have to use the power adapter that it came with which is big and bulky with long wires. I was hoping I would be able to just mount this to my phone mount arm, but the ball is located at the device side (not on the arm side), so that I could not attach this to my phone mount arm. I've only tested for maybe 30 minutes and I noticed that the back of this device is already really hot. If you plan to use it the way it comes and you don't mind not transmitting audio through bluetooth, then I think this is a pretty good device. But for me, the issues I mentioned above a re big issues that I'm going to have to return this device. ... show more
