This device for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay is actually genius. Just another screen that you can apply to your windshield or dash to navigate where you're going, without having to look down at your phone. For starters, I got the device because I was taking some friends home, and I forgot the way to his house, so I used my phone. As I was typing his address on my phone, I casually run a red light, going 30 on a decently busy street. So I bought this device after I got home. At the time, I had a OnePlus 8 5G, which at the time of writing this review, is a 3 year old phone. Multiple times during my drive, it would just disconnect from the device itself, with the only way to get it working again, is to unplug its power source from the car. The same day as I'm writing this review, I had bought a new-to-me Pixel 6 Pro, which keep in mind, is only 2 years old (at the time of writing this review). Once I got it fully setup to where all my apps are there, I went on a 40 minute drive around my city, just wondering if while I'm driving, if it'll disconnect. Conclusion on the drive: There was 1 audio hiccup that it had, but corrected itself basically immediately. There were no disconnections at all on the drive that I had, which was fantastic. Nothing is scary than driving on the highway, with your audio disconnecting and you having to unplug it and plug it back in. Another minor limitation is sometimes the mic on the device will struggle to pick up your voice with the AC on. It might just be how I have it setup. Overall, depending on how new your phone is, you will experience disconnections, as I have had with my OnePlus, with no apparent reason as to why it disconnects. For $100 and easy to setup process, I am no longer disappointed. ... show more

I’m a truck driver, and this product works so great when I’m on the road. The fact it actually work like a CarPlay works so good. This product works great with my truck and my 1997 Chevy truck.

Great product! Displays itself as Apple CarPlay, but can apparently be for an Android as well! The device itself does get very hot in the sun, but I’m not sure what else to do about that. The sticky part where you stick it to your dash or wherever you put it, isn’t very sticky. It almost instantly came off within 3 hours and wiggles around and is about to fly off. 🤣 I have a dip in my dash, so I have my device in there sticking and resting. It’s easy to use honestly, and the brightness is okay, but at night is too bright for my eyes. There are 3 different brightness settings. Definitely worth the money in my opinion. I have an older Chevy Cruze that only displays the song name and title. I prefer having a bigger GPS screen to look at and music display, rather than looking down at my phone screen. ... show more

    • Worked fine, until it didn't
I purchased 2 of these initially; one for my daughters' car and a second for my wife's. I first installed in my daughters' car and it worked well. We used it for both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and for the most part we were happy with it. We used the AUX output for audio. It did what it was supposed to do. The settings UI was a bit clunky, and the LED display wasn't the best, but overall at that point our opinion was 4/5. I then went to install the second unit if my wife's car. That one didn't work as expected. The LED screen was out of whack, and the touchscreen responded for the command on the opposite side of the screen. Basically, it was flipped. Trying to press a button on the right would activate the button on the left of the screen, and vice versa. I took that as a one-off, since the other unit worked fine, so I returned for a replacement which came promptly. I held off installing the replacement due to my schedule. In the meantime, we used the first unit in my daughters' car and also moved it to my wife's car for a roadtrip. Everything worked fine, 4/5 stars. When we returned from the trip I put it back in my daughters' car. It worked fine, at first. Then suddenly the audio volume from the AUX went WAY down, and we had to turn the radio volume to 100% and could still barely hear music. I tried several things, including testing the AUX input on the car with another device (it was working fine). I tried a factory reset on the LED screen unit as a next step. Once that finished I then had the same problem with the screen, where a press of a button on the right would activate a different button on the left. Decided to cut my losses and return both units. It's a good idea, but the quality of this item is not what it should be. New rating is 1/5 - would not recommend. Disappointing, for sure. ... show more

PROS: *Easy to install, just plug and play *Perfect screen size for the dashboard *Supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto *Syncs very quickly with phones *Has a USB port for charging phones CONS: *You only get 1 shot at mounting with the included sticky pad. You may want to buy some extra pads in case the adhesive fails in the hot summer, or if you're like me and wanted to move the mount after placement. I bought some from Amazon and they worked great. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08BCQJDS4) I am very happy with this portable navigation system. It has made my 2011 Honda Fit feel like a new car. I was thinking about installing a fully new stereo, but that would have required me to buy a new stereo, new mounting hardware, and then try to work out installation myself. I am not terribly savvy, so this seemed like a good option. I am so glad I did this. I use the system to make voice control to make calls, navigate, play music/podcast through Apple Car Play. It feels almost native like it was built-in with the car. It also turns on and syncs as soon as I start my car. It's easier to see than a screen that would mount in the center console, which feels safer to me. The power cord has a USB port, which is very convenient for charging my phone. For the price, this is a great deal and excellent value. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to upgrade their old car with smart navigation but doesn't want to go through the hassle & cost of installing an entirely new stereo. ... show more
