    • Great Tool in the Garage
Changing the oil in my jeep, found some metal sparkles in it and the oil filter. Panic set in on where could this be - flat tappet cam, lifters, distributor gears, or something else?? This Borescope saved me a ton of time and money. Bought this and 2 days later, was able to drop the scope down into the timing cover, cylinders and intake valley to look cam lobes. Found that it was the distributor gear eating up the cam gear without taking apart the engine! Very helpful given the cam gear isn't visible from outside the timing cover on an AMC 360. The light is bright and the angle on the camera scope can get into some tight spaces. Ability to change the brightness of the light was helpful too when getting up close to things. Camera movement takes some time to get used to - but to be expected when the camera is upside-down, hidden inside the engine. Picture is good and the autofocus works well. Controls are easy to manage. Solid, sturdy unit - and definitely good for the price, compared to the "commercial" brands. Would recommend for the price and features. ... show more

Was needing a camera for numerous jobs and decided to give this one a chance. I’ve used it for about 5 jobs since I’ve had it and I’ve very pleased with it. The picture is very clear and it always has plenty of length to reach wherever is needed. Not to mention being able to take pictures, flip the camera, adjust the light or zoom and then pull the sd card and then see it on the computer.     • An invaluable tool with many uses.
This is an outstanding tool and an exceptional value. If you work on cars, boats, houses, firearms or tricycles you'll find many uses for this borescope/endoscope. The very small 6mm (.24 inch) diameter probe allows you access to places larger cameras just cant go and many of the endoscopes out there have significantly larger lenses. The image quality is very good and the adjustable light level is extremely helpful for adjusting image quality. Being IP67 waterproof means that you can even use it to view into a sink drain or other wet environments. Note that the probe is only 5' long so full probs on plumbing aren't possible. The handy carrying case is a major help in keepin your scope safe. You can pay a lot more money and get much less endoscope. In mypinion, this is a five star buy! ... show more

This has been a fantastic purchase! I am usually pretty picky and have no problem returning items I am dissatisfied with. This was a keeper! The articulating camera makes this the best borescope I have ever used. The design puts all the important controls right at your thumb. The thumbwheel has a mark on it that I use make sure the head is in it's straight position so I can easily pull it back out of tight spaces. The probe cable is just right, not too long to get tangled up and long enough to reach what needs to be seen. Sharp picture. Autofocus works well and adjustable illumination helps get a good picture. Unit boots fast and has never crashed or locked up. Great battery life and holds charge when in storage. Comes with a card that makes transfer of pictures to a computer super easy. Comes in a very nice protective case to neatly store everything. Added bonus: it comes with a magnet, hook and side mirror that securely screw onto the probe tip. I don't use these often, but they are sometimes handy and I didn't have to make an extra purchase just to find out. I have had a very good experience with this, so yes, I would buy again! ... show more

    • Fits in glow plug holes
The body is plastic, a lot of plastic. The screen mounts on a sort of plastic hot shoe, very little meat on the bones to hold it super securely. If you're careful it won't break. Articulating head works very well, it'll go beyond 180 degrees, so you can point it right up at its own tube if needed, though I wouldn't recommend that because it doesn't seem to like being asked to turn that tightly. Steering it is a little tricky at first, because the camera isn't exactly aligned with the swivel axis. Screen is decent, can be seen in daylight, good battery life, good image capture. case is sturdy, and low profile enough to fit in cheaper toolboxes that have the drawers that arent deep enough ... show more

Extremely flexible cable allows routing freedom. Large dial, easily controlling the tip to U-bend. * Must have threaded inspection 4 piece accessories. Eliminates falling off inside.! Superb battery life. Rechargeable 3000 mAh battery.! Must have removable/ expandable SD card. Extremely durable USB-c connector.! Possible future improvement. I do not like the bottom feed cable. This borescope for the price is fantastic, it is bright and clear. Don't expect it to compete with $25,000 borescopes, but for what I am using it for (aircraft maintenance) it works great.
