I got the "100Pcs Electric Fence Insulator Screw-in Insulator Fence Ring Wood Post Insulator with Insulator Socket Tool" And overall I would say works great. Tool easy enough to use with a drill - goes fairly fast putting them up. I would say the holes are a little bigger than my other ones but shouldn't be an issue at all. These will be hard to take out though so hopefully if you are installing them you are planning to keep them where you put them! ... show more

100Pcs Electric Fence Insulator Screw-in Insulator Fence Ring Wood Post Insulator with Insulator Socket Tool. We use these insulators on all of our electric fence projects. We are just starting a large fence job and found this 100 pack at a great price. The pack comes with the socket tool for screwing them in. I wish that it was the same size shank as the impact drivers because that tool would work a lot better than a cordless screw gun. However, if you have a hand screwdriver handy for lining them up after they’re driven in, then it works ok. These are really great for running electric wire, electric rope, or tape along trees and wood posts. We have had some of these installed for almost a year and no problems. We have similar ones that have been in for over 10 years as well. These can run up to a dollar each so this is a great deal if you have a large project. The one drawback, if there is one, is that they can eventually break off from the metal screw part. One way to help avoid that is to pre-drill the holes before installing them. I’m pretty happy with these and will be installing a lot of them soon. ... show more

I was a little worried the plastic would feel cheap and flimsy, and I was very wrong! These are very nice quality! Not only are the insulators built nicely, but the tool to install them is also built very sturdy. I highly recommend these if you are pinching pennies like I am!

Product Reviewed: 100Pcs Electric Fence Insulator for $26 TL;DR; Plastic molded over knurled steel – weak design; We use these in a homestead scale farm operation. These are inexpensive at $0.25 each but miss in execution. The pack includes a handy driver. Better designs mould plastic around a quarter round bend, these ones use only a knurled attachment point so the plastic portion so you are unlikely to be able to install these in hard wood and unlikely to ever be able to remove them without locking pliers and destroying the insulator. See pics. You can evaluate your own insulators without destroying them by using a magnet. Quality insulators will be magnetic 1/4 of the way around the closed side of the insulator ring where the steel shank is bent in a partial hook shape then over moulded with plastic. 3 stars for missed execution. I cannot recommend these. How I review: Reviews start with 5 stars and I subtract points. - 0 for value but I try to provide guidance -0.5 to -3 for product not matching description e.g. stainless steel is actually plated steel -0.5 to -3 for product missing badly on execution I select products carefully so low (1-3 scores) are rare but detailed comments and critiques almost always are in the review. Most of my reviews come out 4-5 range. If possible I dismantle or destroy items to examine inner workings. ... show more
