The rake is a little smaller than I expected even though it was honnest with the size, bust out a tape measure to see what your working with, however the rake is very sturdy, works very well for both dead grass and leaves as well as a great size to get around pipes coming out the ground, for instance in my community an area I am responsible for has 4 gas measures, also very reliable, i used it to pull dead grass out between 2 slabs of congrat and the through the whole day as rough as i can be with a rake none of the fork bent whatsoever, i was astonished. this rake is perfect for carefully getting the leaves from around them, great for my 9 YO son too since it's adjustable you can fix it to their perfect height, and since it's like weight you could totally get it for those smaller children wanting to help mom or dad in the yard ... show more

I rarely write Amzn product reviews - but I will for this item. I see many, varied reviews posted - not all positive. I have had this rake for ~2 weeks and it provides a tool that I did not know I needed. I have a large yard, with MANY shrubs. This rake is invaluable, to rake/ collect leaves under each plant. This one is FAR better than the 3 foot rake I had used To change the rake handle length, one does need to unscrew a handle extension - something I have not needed to do - even though REAL easy.
