I used these as tie down points for a trailer tarp cover , 4'x8' trailer with high sides. I do not plan on using them as a load tie down point. They are plenty strong and a big enough size for rope to be used. Only having one screw to attach it to my trailer I would not recommend to use as a load tie point, especially if your tying down heavy loads.     • The screw is too short
Not a big deal, I was just able to use some of my own screws, but the ones that come with it are not intended to be used with any significant weight. As I using a ratchet strap, I ripped it right out of the wood.

Product better than pictured. Nice finished product that matched my spa exterior. Instead of using screws provided with product I reused what currently was in place. D-rings move smoothly (no binding) rest out of the way on the bottom metal trim, so there no bruised toes. Now when we get a monsoon I can strap the spa cover down and not worry about it being tore off. Already Haboob tested! ... show more
