  • Works great
I got this to use for watercolor painting and it is great. It directs the heat onto the paint. It has a little stand. It is the right amount of heat. It’s very easy to use. And it’s a good price too.

  • Pretty Good
This is the first heat gun I’ve ever owned. From what I can tell it’s pretty good. It gets very hot so no need to worry if it gets hot enough. There is no feature for “temperature control” but you can just hold it further away or closer for more or less heat. I used it to wrap my motorcycle fenders. And everything turned out pretty good. ... show more

  • Cheap and versatile
Not nearly as hot as my similarly priced HF heat gun, which is a good thing. In laymen temps, it's about as hot as a hairdryer when you cover the back fan with your hand. (Before it triggers the thermal safety shutdown. 😂) I think it could benefit from a smaller nozzle adapter, but it works well and the very hot center of the airflow is actually quite small, so small movements are enough to prevent burning, melting, etc. (Normal heat gun would require waving across the area, as opposed to small circles within the area.) Take the screw out of the cowling and twist until you can pull it off. The cowling locks on Ibuprofen bottle style without the screw and is easy to remove. Over 1 minute continuous I'd remove it unless you're really worried about hitting the tip on your work. It cools down much faster without it. Pro: Perfect for 3d printing (FDM cleanup, resin heating, FDM/SLA support removal), sticky stuff cleanup, heat shrink, paint/art projects, glue/cure Cheap Small Perfectly underpowered Con: This won't hot air solder. (Probably.) Not for high temp heat gun applications. (No peeling paint, etc.) Could use a few nozzle size/shape options No temp control ... show more

  • Perfect for price
Works well for a beginner crafter like me! Heats the foam just like a need. The stand helps give me piece of mind that I won’t melt stuff underneath it!

  • Perfect for watercolor
I'm a water color painter and I use this to quicken the drying process so I can paint more layers. Small and easy to handle. Decent length cord. Attached resting stand. One on/off button so it is no nonsense. Says not to keep on for more than 10 minutes at a time, which suits my needs perfectly. I did purchase a silicone curling iron sleeve, so I could put it away hot and hang from the hole in the silicone bag. ... show more

  • Nice Drying Tool
A nice addition to the crafter who needs a shot of hot air to dry some thing. It’s loud like a hairdryer, but compact has a long cord and easy to Turn on. Also has a stand attached so you can rest it on the table and it won’t fall off
