Well constructed, a simple design and a great price. I'm using it in a 700 square foot, well insulated garage, with an 11' ceiling in rural Alaska using a Toyotomi 180 boiler. Winter temps can drop to -30F. Once the I found the sweet spot with the unit's thermostat, it has been an excellent solution to heating my shop. Make sure you install it with an air vent on the return line a few inches higher than the unit. My only comment is the fan is "NOT" whisper quiet. It would have nice to have a slower speed setting but the unit is a great option if you have a boiler system. Would purchase again. ... show more

The unit is fairly well built and the built in water temperature switch works great. The built in fan is very disappointing. It is loud and does not move much air through the radiator. I removed the fan and installed my own. This was a bit of a process, but now it works great. With 160-180 degree water temps this does not put out anywhere near 50,000 BTU if the 35,000 BTU rating of my electric garage heater is correct. ... show more

This is used to heat a 22x24x9ft garage. Water temp in is 160-165F and only drops about 6-8 degrees, making this heater very efficient. The heat output was much better than expected. I do wish the fan moved a bit more air and was a little quieter but definitely does the job well. I do have a small ceiling fan in the middle of my garage that helps to circulate the heat that tends to stay at the ceiling. ... show more

I purchased this hydronic coil to heat my basement as my existing fireplace was giving off carbon monoxide. Installation was simple as I already had a future zone valve set up on my on demand boiler. I purchased 4 shark now fittings and 1" Oxygen barrier pex all from Amazon to complete the install. Things I liked about the coil: Fan automatically kicks on and off using an adjustable thermistor. It included a reusable filter. It appeared to be a quality build. It provided enough btus to heat my basement. Installation was simple for me. Things I didn't like: The fan is loud! Really loud! I had to install an inline speed switch to slow it down so I could hear myself talk. Filter area is small which may add to the loud fan noise. There is no access to clean the coil if it was to get dirty. The fan is internal and blocks the opening. If the rear opening was larger with a bigger diameter fan and filter it would have been much quieter. But for the price I can't complain that much. ... show more

I did not want to add a full blown hydronic zone in my basement, just warm the space a little. Tied this in to main boiler supply and wired the fan in to C1/N at my aquastat. Works fantastic! Only drops water temp 5-degrees and i only have about $350 in the project.

I purchased two of these units. One for the garage and one for the basement. Easy to install, but the fan is certainly not whisper quiet, but rather quite noisy. Other than the fan, the unit works like it should
