I bought this to replace my older aluminum shelf system. It comes in a big box. I opened the box and followed the instructions. It's easy to install. Just make sure to have a rubber hammer as well to tap the shelves into place. It took me about 45 minutes to fully put the rack all together. I think the shelves will hold up to 100 - 200 pounds. I bout all 3 of the systems from this company. They make a 3, 4 and 5 teir shelves systems. They all look great in my garage. ... show more

A few things to mention: * I ordered it on 09/10 and it said it would be arriving by November... I was hesitating to buy it just because of that reason, but I bought it anyways and received it on 09/16. Happy. * Well packaged, the box wasn't damaged; inside contents were very well packaged as well. * Received exactly what I ordered and all the pieces I needed were there. * One shelve was damaged, but it's not a big deal to me because, even though I am able to see it, it's just a little bent; that's all. I put that one high up, and will be putting not so heavy stuff on there anyways. Reasons why I'm giving it a: 4 star in sturdiness: obvious, I just got it. 4 star in assemble: got confused a little bit, but got it done by myself in like 30 mins. or so. The only thing I noticed when I was placing all of our gifts on it, was that the rack my husband put on top was a little bit bent. He reassured me that it would be fine and not enough of a reason to return it. It is really easy to assemble, If you have done any kind of IKEA assembly before this will be a piece of cake. Don,t need any extra tools or an extra person. It took me about 1 hour to unbox, set it up and clean up. Both the metal bars and the plastic clips have an up-down direction, pay attention to this and you won,t be frustrated during the assembly. I did all the shelf's in equal 16 inch height. When I fist saw the plastic clips to hold up the shelf's I was very nervous/disappointed. But once I saw how they were being used I have 0 concerns about the plastic parts failing in any way. The black electrostatic paint finish is SUPERB and looks/feels FANTASTIC! I recommend buying Silicone Shelf Liners and a pair of Wall Straps to go with it! ... show more

These storage shelves are so versatile. I use one for husbands tools, and heavy duty stuff another for my Costco stuff that doesn't fit in my kitchen. They can hold the weight easily, and look like brand new. I have to rearrange my storage unit, and I am so thrilled that I was able to just wheel the shelf to where I needed it, no big deal.
