I wanted the set to keep salad ingredients in. The large one is perfect for the greens. The photo gives you an idea how big the larger container is compared to the one with the average size tomatoes. As l used up my various ingredients, I transferred the remainder of them into the second largest container. I forgot about it for more than a week. The lettuce didn’t fare so well, but everything else looked great. Having said that, l can see that some fruits and vegetables can last longer in these containers! ... show more

I love the idea of the strainer. It is removable so these can be used as typical storage containers without strainers as well. The kids work well but I find this type of snap in lif can be hit or miss as far as getting all sides snapped on.
