The dispenser is powered by USB-C charging cable. Once it's charged up it can be moved to a convenient location. The are 3 different dispensing levels which can be selected with one touch of the filling volume button. The steel faucet swivels, which is important to me because I selected the dispenser to refill water bottles while out in the field. The dispenser is designed to be used with 5 gallon water jugs. However it work fine with my remote water station jug. The pump is louder than I expected. The sound is okay when I'm outdoors, but something to consider when I use the dispenser inside at meetings. I couldn't easily disassemble the dispenser without dripping water on the base. Strong, steady water flow fills multiple size glasses quickly. We bought this dispenser back in November because it seemed easy to use and clean as needed. It worked great until it ran out of battery. We tried charging from multiple different cables and outlets and it just won’t charge. Each time it will dispense for a few seconds and then stop. We tried everything to reset or charge but no luck. This desktop water dispenser looked cute and convenient, but it was a total disaster. Every time I used it, water would leak out afterwards, leaving a large puddle under the dispenser. I'd come back to my desk and find it sitting in a pool of water. This happened repeatedly, no matter how careful I was. Many applications are possible with this pump. I created a water station/bar by mounting this on top of a cabinet that is located in a central hallway of our home. I had to purchase some silicone tubing separately because the tubing included in the kit was not of sufficient length. The cabinet required some modification: A section of the inner shelf was removed so that 5 gallon water bottles could slide in/out easily. I then drilled a ".75 hole thru the top of the cabinet, pushed the tubing thru the hole, and then connected the tubing to the pump. The bottom end of tubing goes into the 5 gallon water bottle. Now I have spring water at a new location in our home! I moved our electric water kettle and frigidaire ice maker to the water station so that I can make my morning tea at a single location. This is a time saver and a great convenience!! Because I increased the length of the silicone tubing, I can place the pump on the ice maker to refill it directly. The electric kettle fits under the pump for easy refilling. This is a time saver and a great convenience. Also, I never liked using the ice from our Samsung refrigerator because the water smells like lake/well water (our city water is a combination of lake and well water). The water goes thru three different carbon blocks, but it still smells fishy and wretched at times. So, using spring water is a dream come true. The functionality of the pump is pretty basic. I plan to keep it plugged into USB power 24/7, since it can pump while it's plugged in. When it fails, I will find a new unit. The presets on the pump are another convenience. I keep it set to the maximum of 1 liter, because that aligns with the amount needed for the water kettle, and also to refill the ice maker (3 liters).     • Works well but pretty short tubing

This works well and I love that it came with the little blue stopper/outlet/closure for the water bottle. A lot of competitor's products don't have that and it completely negates the value of the purchase without it. Who wants to drink water exposed to the air, dirt, pollen, dander etc.? So for me, this is a real plus of this unit. What I'm not too thrilled about is the length of the tubing from the water bottle to the dispenser. It really doesn't allow for a variety of situations. I had planned to run mine behind my free standing pantry and onto the kitchen counter but even though the pantry is only 2 feet wide, its way too short to do that and still dip deep enough into the water bottle. Most likely, this will end up becoming part of my camp gear until I can source longer tubing. So I was a little bummed but not because of functionality. I didn't see the flashing green light they talk about in the manual when charging the device. I saw no indication that it knew it was being charged at all or whether it was full or not. So that is another issue for me that I won't be able to test completely until it runs out of charge and I know for sure it needs to be charged. ... show more
