    • Extremely easy to setup, good video quality, has been working without issue for months now

Our unit has been working without any major issues for 6 months. Some small quirks listed below. A very nice and affordable security unit that's very easy to setup. While it's been a few months now, I didn't have any issues with the initial camera setup, and in fact have added 2 more add on cameras that also were very easy to add to the system without any hitches. We were able to use extended barrel jack cords to put some of the cameras further away, and everything works fine. The only issues were your typical ones that came with other cameras from companies like Nighthawk, etc. The cameras point of view can be adjusted, but the articulating arm they are attached to are more restricted in their movement range over say a ball head mount. Also because of the antenna location on the camera, you may want to mount them with the antennas on, but this will limit some of the movement range of the articulating arm. Another issue is the screen starts at either 720 or 800p (1280x800) and you need to manually adjust it to 1080p after the initial setup. Just mentioning this because when you first set it up, you might be underwhelmed by the resolution of display. We haven't setup the mobile remote functions of the unit yet, so cannot give a review of that, but will update if we do. As mentioned up top, there has been a few small quirks we've noticed over time. - The unit will periodically automatically restart. I don't see a prompt saying it will restart, but this normally occurs when you see all the cameras go offline for a little, and then the unit will make a beep and then restart. This happens about once every 2~3 weeks. - Right clicking anywhere in the interface will bring you back to the main screen, which sounds great, but is absolutely a bother when exploring past videos and trying to fine tune a segmant in time to watch. It would be great if there was a confirm go back option or ability to disable that. It makes sense why it's there, but there's no memory of where you were at, so if you go back after spending a few clicks trying to get a specific time on a specific camera, you lose it all. - It's wireless, so be careful of anything interfering with it. We personally haven't had any issues, but have noticed that sometimes the fps of the cameras go from 15fps steady (their base) to lower, and it seems mostly related to wireless interference. - It's a standard motor hard drive, and constantly writing, so you will hear it if everything else in the room is turned off. For the total cost of the unit, and time saved installing it, the unit and the base 4 cameras have been amazing. We have since added 2 more cameras, and looking to add 2 more. We will probably replace the hard drive with a ssd only because the sound of the hard drive constantly writing and accessing is noticable. Otherwise we are happy with it. ... show more

I purchased the OOSSXX 5.5MP Wireless Security Camera System last year because the one I had before this system wasn't cutting it anymore for what I needed. I needed clear pictures night and day, and constant wifi connection from the cameras to the base. This system fit perfectly what I was looking for and then some. The dual antennas on the cameras ensure constant WIFI connection. Never miss a moment from loss/drop single. The 3K 5.0MP video quality is crystal-clear specially at night. It was a huge thing for me to have the best video quality at night. I was surprised how good the video quality was the 1st night I had it. It is the best that I seen by far, and I have had a few Surveillance systems. The setting out of the box works great, or you can do what I did and tweak it a little with in the settings to enhance it to your liking. Install and set up was a breeze, hardest part was deciding on where to put the camera. After that just hang them up, and plug them in and you are good to go. Accessing it remotely is quick and easy. I love I am able to access real time footage or play back what is recorded from my phone or PC any time. Downloading and saving footage is a breeze. Huge win for me. I been able to help out my neighbors and provide them footage of when things have happened on there property that my cameras caught. After providing footage to local Police a couple times between myself and helping out neighbors, they even commented they were impressed with how good the video quality is. It makes there job easier. For anyone in the market for a reliable, high-quality outdoor security camera system that is easy to use, I highly recommend the OOSSXX system.
