Got this for visiting grandsons (ages 9 & 7) and they had fun for a while but then lost interest so perhaps the two younger granddaughters will like it better. It's a cute design and the pieces seem sturdy and not too small. There are no instructions as the cards tell you what to do. The cards are printed on both the game and card box but the print is sooo small that I couldn't make any of it out without physically looking at each card. I wish each shaped piece had its own color and the cards showed the shape with its corresponding color. (Initially there were a couple of cards where I had trouble distinguishing which shape it was as a couple of them are similar although the kids had no issue.) There are 8 different shapes in 7 colors and all of the pieces on the cards are yellow. There are 48 pieces, 22 cards and 6 of those cards have you drawing 2 additional cards, removing a block and reversing the order of play. With 3 of us playing I shuffled a lot. Box says 3+ but I think a 3 year old might have trouble with a couple of things - - with a rocking bottom it started turning a bit when trying to squeeze pieces into empty spots so a younger child will probably have issues with both aspects of that. The thickness of the Dino is maybe an inch, if that, so it's not like stacking regular blocks. - I also feel a younger child might have issues matching the shape on the card to the actual piece and it would be much easier if they could just know what color piece to look for. For some reason I think the pictures of the pieces on the box are easier to distinguish than those on the cards. ... show more
