This toolbox arrived undamaged. I had read a lot of reviews noting how much shipping damage was done to the toolbox. Not the case for this one. The shipping box did have one puncture that did not damage the toolbox. I noticed when unpacking the toolbox that every corner top and bottom corner had a piece of metal protecting the toolbox. The toolbox is thin and the latching mechanism leaves something to be desired. But the only again this was the cheapest 48 inch wide toolbox that comes with lid struts instead of chains. This toolbo will be mounted in a pickup bed protected by a locking tonneau cover. For the price of this tool box it's a good deal at a fair price. Quality seems OK, a little better than the typical chinesium quality. This toolbox will not keep the bad guys out, but will help you get better organized. ... show more

Very good packaging and finish. It's lighter than i was anticipating (only reason for 4stars) but the finish is pretty nice, gas shocks work well, latch needed to be adjusted. Overall very happy, will report back.

I love the 48 inch long aluminum tool box it's built well shipping creating 2 small dents but easy to fix with a hammer .. seller contacted me saying they can't ship to a PO box I replied I don't have a legal address I live on vacant land and can use my community name and lot number .. they shipped it to my PO box anyway so I am grateful for that .. I chose the black box .. it was 189 $ but just before I was going to order it the price was lowered to 179 $ that is cool ... Had to bend the lock arm on the lid so it can close without touching the lower box frame .. easy fix 🏡🛌 now I can rest easy storing my tools .. I had plastic totes but the summer sun weakens plastic .. it's like buying a tiny shed when I can't afford a real shed 🤗🎬 I need one more of these tool boxes next month so I can use it to build a battery power box with 2 larger wet lead Acid marine batteries ... show more

I don't do reviews ever. I read them but don’t do them but this thing is a $160.00 flimsy box. Showed up dented could have replaced it that’s on me because I’m impatient. But the bolt for the latch broke off while I was adjusting it to close and latch properly. Maybe my fault maybe not. But there’s no way to fix that without having someone who can weld super thin diamond plate. So had to drill a hole in the top for a new bolt again that’s on me. Just sayin’ super flimsy I don’t think it’s going to hold up on the front of my rv as my new battery box. I have other diamond plated truck bed toolboxes that I’ve had for 18 years. This thing never going to make it that long but it’s also half the price of a quality box. So take what you will from it. ... show more

I was looking for a box small enough to leave in place when towing my fifth wheel. This fits the bill nicely. It is also short enough to accommodate my backflip bed cover. It is light weight, nicely finished and will not live exposed to the weather so I can't speak to the weatherproof aspect. It is big enough for my stuff without being too bog for what I need. I took a chance on this even after reading several reviews about their toolbox arriving damaged/ dented. Well mine was dented. I may have been able to live with a dent on the bottom but this dent it right in the front on the lid. The box arrived in relatively good shape, but this item is not packaged well enough to survive even regular FedEx handling. I’d consider ordering a replacement but based-on the packaging, there is little chance any replacement would arrive undamaged. This toolbox seems to be well engineered and constructed. The locking mechanism and the side, spring loaded handles are sturdy. The finish is fantastic. The irony is the shipping box is inadequate and the cardboard protection is poorly designed for what would be considered normal shipping and handling by FedEx, UPS, or Amazon. I’m not an operations or shipping manager, but chances you receive an undented or undamaged toolbox are probably about 50/50. ... show more
