Pretty easy to assemble- picture instructions with all pieces labeled for identification. My 17yo son had most of it assembled but got tired 2 hours in so I finished the bottom half (drawer, hinges, doors, shelves). It can be done solo- but once you get to the doors- it’s best to have a second set of hands. It holds a TON of stuff. I purchased one of these by chance to see if it was too good to be true for the price. Most pantries have a 22lb shelf capacity, this one is rated for much more. I am not disappointed one bit. This cabinet is very sturdy for what it is and looks great put together. It's amazing how much storage room these actually have, I was able to fit way more in this cabinet than I thought I would be able to. The only cons I can note are because of how the doors open, you can't put these cabinets right up next to one another. I ordered two more and I figure I'll have to spade them 6-8 inches apart. The only other complaint is the assembly takes forever but it's not difficult at all. Update- ordered two more and everything was great with those cabinets too! ... show more

It took literally 8+ hours to put this together. The number of parts was staggering. Instructions were poor. I never heard so many curse words in one day until this thing arrived. That being said, it looks very nice, is much sturdier than the last kind we had, and it is much easier to see what is in there because the organization is excellent. ... show more

This was so easy to put together. I was able to put most of it together by myself and then my husband helped to attach the two pieces and add the doors on. It is very spacious. I was able to fit a lot of items in this. I have very little cupboard space in my kitchen so I was able to make this a snack and cereal pantry. I love it! Very nice looking and sturdy. ... show more

The positive is this shelf is very pretty with a great instruction guide and extremely spacious, unfortunately the quality is not the best. The materials are thin with a cheap feel. If you have small children I can't see this shelf lasting very long with the thin/cheap doors. Hopefully, the shelf lasts awhile as it looks great in my kitchen and helps us have some extra pantry space. ... show more

It took my husband and I around 4 hrs to assemble, and that includes 45 mins laying out/checking all the parts. It does seem daunting, but it's doable. You do have to tweak the hinges a little to get the doors to align evenly, but that's true for any cabinet. Very happy with the construction and look of it. First of all 5 stars to the FedEx driver because he asked if he could carry the box inside for me!! I unpacked the box, checked all the parts, happily found nothing damaged, and all hardware was accounted for. (For the record, I’m 68 years young). I thumbed through the assembly guide, and began putting it together. The guide consists of well diagramed pictures. Total time assembling, was maybe 2 hours. Part of the two hours was spent reassembling the doors as I didn’t pay attention to the notches for the hinges and had them backwards. (Oops). Anyway, it was my fault. The one and only thing went wrong was that the holes for cut the dowels were cut too small. I’m not going to complain. I went to the local hardware store, found some wooden dowels that were the right diameter and had them cut to the correct length. Total cost was maybe $5.00. I used a couple of cook books to stand the doors on so I could attach them to the unit and that worked like a charm. This piece is sturdy and exactly what I need for additional kitchen storage.
