  • Does a great job
Size: 50pint
Purchased this unit for use in a small utility room with a Humidity problem. It works above expectations. It is both quite and efficient. Yes the tank is small but very easy to empty ( Or you can use the provided hose ) It keeps the humidity level right where its set at.

  • Should've bought sooner. Very pleased with purchase. Will buy again.
Size: 50pint
I spent considerable time researching dehumidifiers before buying this dehumidifier. I already bought the hang up ones and the ones that are disposable. Then, I bought a 20 pinter (useless) and then a 30 pinter (ok but broke) and then another 30 pinter which gave better results but was obviously too slow and inefficient for living room (now placed in small bathroom and can't keep up with 2 daily showers). It's easy to blame myself and inaccurate reviews and rightfully so but sadly my wasted $$$ experiences led me to knowing better questions to ask and Googling for more info. Most dehumidifier advice is about buying based on square footage. They have tried to reduce determining your needs based only on 1 factor: you need "x" amount of pints for "y" square footage. Then tell you for a tiny bathroom and most living rooms you need only a 30 pint dehumidifier. That advice cost me too much wasted time and $ while living in conditions harmful to lungs and health. The 2nd 30 pint dehumidifier I bought for my living room is now in my 800 sq foot bathroom and can't keep up with a morning and evening shower, 1 person. Besides, square footage, you also have to factor in how cool you keep your home and the amount of humidity in your area. Now that we can use monthly purchase plans on Amazon, you might not have to buy the cheapest dehumidifier to help you. Buying a 30 pinter is cheaper but it has to run constantly to try to keep up. If you purchase a 50 pinter you would save on electricity, wear and tear, and be more comfortable sooner. Don't buy based only on sq footage: if you live in a hot rainy humid area you will need a higher capacity dehumidifier than someone who lives in a dryer area. I didn't need a portable humidity gauge to show me that my apt was too humid. I felt it in my clothing, seeing mold, and how rainy days effected my apt. I'm so glad I bought this dehumidifier that I can set a level of comfort and it will work until it reaches that level or turn off because it needs to have captured water poured out. I can set the level once and not have to worry about it. If 50 pints is reached and machine turns itself off, I empty and replace. Machine pauses and then automatically goes back to work wothout needing any adjustments. It is very quiet so I don't adjust power speed levels for sleep or watching TV. I can turn to low if we haven't had rain for awhile and that is simply done pressing a button. Nothing else needs adjusting. Remarkably I am averaging having to pour out the captured water every 2 hours. I live in an apt in a very hot humid area. I haven't used the hose feature yet but can understand the instructions given and have looked at equipment included with purchase and feel I could handle doing it. I bought the unit because of reviews and because it features the drying clothes function. I am happy I did because that function works wonderfully and is another plus for this dehumidifier. Because of my problem with so much humidity, my lungs and breathing have been effected. There is a very noticeable difference in a level of 50% humidity vs 75 or 80+%. I now know that even with my square footage I need more than a 50 pinter for living room. When I've saved more $ I'll keep this 50 pinter in a bedroom, and purchase a higher volume dehumidifier for living room. I can't remember exact words that made me understand that the commonly used "buy based on your square footage" isn't logical but I can tell you that my 4 wasted $$$ experiences (not including $ spent on disposables and multiple $20 plugin and hangs) could easily have been avoided if I had not followed sq foot algorithms. I'm delighted with my purchase of this dehumidifier. It does everything advertising blurbs say. It is a quiet workhorse that came with easy instructions, proper packaging, and is esthetically designed. Even as a disabled person, I have been able to independently set up and use, 24/7, for several weeks now. ... show more

  • Works great! Small tank internal
Size: 50pint
It works great. But! If you are going to use the internal tank…..it fills really fast. I live in Houston and wanted to stabilize the humidity in a room where I have a couple of guitars. This thing will bring my 16x12 room down 10% in about 4 hours with the door open. Faster with the door closed. But fills the internal tank fast. I really didn’t want to install a drain ….but may have to…….I'm emptying this thing 2-3 times a day ... show more

  • Works great and relatively attractive.
Size: 50pint
I love that it has wheels and can be rolled around to different areas. Works great! We live in Florida and the humidity get's pretty bad but this machine takes the humidity out at a very quick rate. Great buy for the money.

  • Surprising Little Workhorse
Size: 50pint
This is probably the third humidifier that I have owned over the last 15 years. I had never heard of Lubair, and know very little about the company. The day I ordered this humidifier my name brand unit decided it had worked enough after about six years of course that was on a very humid rainy day. So I needed a new humidifier and fast. I found this one on Amazon, and it was on sale to boot. When it arrived I was worried, because it was one of the lightest units I have ever owned. I followed the instructions and let it sit right side up for 24 hours because when it arrived it was laying on it's side on my porch, and I have no idea how long it had sat like that during it's delivery journey. When I finally set it up I was also surprised at how quiet it was, and was worried that I was not going to get the desired results out of it since my past units were heavy and the fan was very loud. The airflow across the cooler coils seemed as good or better than previous units. I opted on the first night not to hook up the discharge hose just to get a good read on how it was working. The next morning I came down and the unit was off. This really worried me until I saw the indicator saying the collection bucket was full. After that I decided to hook up the discharge hose because the collection bucket is fairly small. Note: I have read a few reviews that said the discharge hose does not work. When you hook it up, make sure to remove the rubber stopper under the screw on cap. If you do not do this and connect the hose it will not work properly. I did not make that mistake, but I can see how it could be missed. Since hooking the hose up the humidifier has been running flawless, and it is supporting my needs. Mine is installed in my 1300 sq-ft basement and has worked well to keep the humidity levels low. We have not hit the summer months yet, but it is holding pretty steady. Since I have only been running it for a couple of months I cannot comment on the longevity of the unit, but since it was about 1/3 the price of my last unit I feel it was a really good purchase. ... show more

  • Extremely underpowered, Advertising Sham
Size: 50pint
Previously had a GE Adel45 dehumidifier in the basement. When The GE unit failed, I figured I'd take a shot on this unit. I have a very large basement. The size of this unit was about half the size of my GE unit. Although they advertise that this unit can handle 4500 sq/ft, that is just not true. My basement is dry, but humidity levels get up to 70% at times. This unit ran continuously for 4 days and struggled to bring levels below 60%. My previous GE unit was able to get levels below 45% and would shut off as humidity levels were fine at the point. Had to return this pos and purchase a better/larger unit from Lowes that can actually handle 4500 sq/ft. ... show more
