Of course, if don't want to drain the tank, it can also drain by the hose. Dehumidifies very well. One issue is that tank is quite small, if it's humid enough it fills up within several hours (though part of it is due to how well dehumidifier dehumidifies). And attaching hose is harder to figure out than one would expect. But those issues aren't enough to remove a star, the unit is great otherwise, given that I use it in living area. For out of the way area (e.g. basement), I'd either make sure it drains through the hose, or get one with a bigger tank. ... show more

I like the size and it is quiet. The tank is small and has to be emptied about every 6 hours. It does have a drain; however; the instructions for the drain hose are not very good. I use it in the garage and the hose is very short and I had to buy an extension so it would reach the outside. There is no mention of the grey plug you need to remove so last night it did not drain. The tank was full this morning. I read another person's review and they mentioned the grey plug so I removed it and hopefully, it will work now. Keep fingers crossed. It's working now that I pulled the "plug". Like it. ... show more

So far this has saved my basement in a matter of 5 days. Super easy to use. Not too loud and decent size. The wheels help a lot because it is heavy. You can use the bucket to drain or hook up the hose which I liked.

Bought 2 of these because of good reviews and the description stated that it was a 52-pint dehumidifier - making it perfect for our large basement area. Upon receiving the item - we found that it is nowhere near 52-pint capacity unit. It is very small and if it collects a gallon of water you are lucky. We only opened one so we were able to return the second one. But what an absolute waste of money. Do not recommend this product ... show more

I just had a basement system put in and I added this dehumidifier to keep it dry and clean. I love the fact that it has a hose that drains excess humid into the track along the wall and keeps the floor dry. It’s quiet it’s efficient and I’m very pleased with the purchase.
