I ordered these to make my first jelly roll race quilt top. I started sewing them end to end and found they were not cut as evenly across as I’d hoped. (One end was a good bit wider than the other.) Initially, I worried that this would make my strips go together wonky, but I was able to adjust for that, and my quilt top came out even better than I’d hoped! I’m looking forward to the rest of the process and think this will be one of my favorites. Each strip was different and made for a very unique combination. I may be ordering these again, as my daughter really loves the fabric and may be hitting me up for a quilt of her own. ... show more

I loved the colors and the prints. They were exactly as advertised. However, I specifically ordered cotton fabric because I wanted to make trivets to put hot pots on. This fabric melts when I iron it. There is no way I can use it for trivets. False advertising. Also, this didn't really bother me that much, but it frays terribly. ... show more

OK, if you looked at the one star reviews, I think many might’ve been for the Japanese print. I ordered the rainbow solids. I lit a match under the corner to see if it melted or burned, and it burned. So I can’t guarantee cotton, but I do know it’s not polyester, which would have melted. I also saw reviews that the colors bled. That concern me so I took one of the red strips, put it boiling water and squeezed it in a paper towel. As you can see no dye came out. My role had 11 vibrant colors. The reason I gave four stars instead of five is that some of the colors had three strips and some of the colors had four strips. This makes it difficult to use all the strips if, you’re trying to run a pattern. The yellow is a bit sheer, but the rest of the colors are quite solid and with white quilting behind them I think these will be adequate for my rug method, quilt as you go, table runner. Maybe a bit thin for other quilting methods. (But I’m new to all this.) ... show more

I like this wad of pre-cut ribbon. They’re long enough for my baby blankets. The length and width are perfect for my needs. The fabric is very good quality. The ONLY minor quality control issue is that this ribbon had this weird schmutz or stain in the sealed package. So that’s one piece I likely won’t use. Just a heads-up - the fabric is made in China, not Japan, although the prints are Japanese style and the colors are vibrant, with gold metallic. (The fabric package was labeled "Made in China.") I really like the variety of prints. You get 40 different prints, 1 strip each. As other reviewers have mentioned the strips are 39" long x 2.5" - there are no selvedges. The strips appear to be cut on the lengthwise vs crosswise (width of fabric) grain, but it's not a deal breaker. The fabric is not as smooth as 100% cotton quilting fabrics made in Japan, but the quality is acceptable. For the price, this is a very good buy. I have not checked for color fastness. ... show more

Look, these are incredible. In. Cred. I. Bull. Literally, they took one day longer to ship and it was freakin worth the wait. They look EVEN better than the picture online. The fabric is actually kind of thick which is nice and will make sewing it together easier without having to pin them together. There are patterns that are the same in complementary colors that look so incredible together. One of the strips did have more sewn onto it (a little sloppily) but for my purposes it won’t effect my project. I’m making a jelly roll quilt (pattern shown), and I think it will look so so beautiful. I was worried that the patterns would be too busy for this type of quilt, but because there are doubles of the patterns in different colors, it’s going to look so good! Only 8 of the 40 strips do not have a complementary counter part, but they work together well with what is left. These strips range from beautiful to badass to adorable. You will NOT regret getting this jelly roll. Honestly, if you’re considering getting this, DO IT!! You will not be disappointed. ... show more
