    • Onion style growlers are super cool and hard to find

First time I've ever seen an onion style growler in 34oz- usually they're 64oz. Definitely not worth the money if you're going oz for oz in a price comparison, but otherwise they're really interesting looking, fit nicely on short openings in shelves and are a very thick glass with a stronger seal than I've gotten with cheaper flip-top bottles on Amazon. I'm unsure if these would do well for bottle conditioning a brew, but they seem well suited for the task. Only taking one star off because they are overpriced I haven't had a chance to use these for my homebrew yet, but if this review is more than a few months old and I haven't updated it, assume they worked perfectly fine for my still mead and banana wine ... show more

Poured admittedly hot, but not boiling, water in to clean them and it broke right in half. The bottle wasn't cold or anything - room temp. Would be nice of the seller comped the one, Ill update the review later. I'm doing some bottle conditioning in them right now and Ill update with their sturdiness. Bottles came very well wrapped (each wrapped individually with lots of foam) but the swing top caps are packaged separately. A bit pricey and the glass doesn't seem to be very even, especially on one bottle. Hoping it will hold carbonation, one bottle is very sketchy though.
