I use picnic taps to dispense beer from my Corney kegs kept in a keezer. Inasmuch as the old beer lines get stained and collect beer scale, I change them out periodically. This beer line product allows me to make three new lines (five feet each). The thick walled tubing doesn't kink but still allows enough flexibility to pour a proper pint. I didn't use the included clamps as I prefer using stainless ear clamps instead. Recommended! ... show more

Very disappointed by this product. It is the same PVC tube you can buy at Home D or Lowes. It is not made for serving beer or for cold temps. It becomes very very stiff with cold exposure. It says flexible but it is not. I had to order twice because the first order was lost and then sent late. Both going back. Don't be fooled by the reviews. ... show more

Switched out my older lines to these and immediately noticed an off taste. This happens to some extent with all beer lines the longer the beer sits in the line. However, with my old lines, the first 2-4 ounces were at least palatable after sitting for a couple days. I dispense beer from 'standard' 5 gallon corny kegs (and sometimes 3 gallon and 2 gallon ball lock kegs) from my kegerator. I'm often using tubing for transfers and custom carbonating solutions. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the question addressed near the end of this review about the absence of printed info running along the outside of the transparent tube. I need to learn more about that subject. But both tubes mechanically are fine in my applications. The red gas tubing looks, feels and functions just like all my gas tubing. I maintain a 4 port CO2 distribution point from a 20 pound gas tank, (2) 5 pound tanks and a new nitro tank used for stouts. Plus parts for recarbonating 2 liter plastic bottles of tonic water, which seems to be a popular non-alcoholic alternative (with a twist of lime) these days, I have a lot of tubing to deal with (some tell me my hobby is our of control-LOL) and have found out the hard way the importance of balancing tube length and diameter tradeoffs to achieve a fast enough pour with the least amount of over-foaming. The transparent 3/16 inch internal diameter tubing looks pretty standard to me. I somewhat agree with another reviewer that it seems stiffer in the cold (hopefully, that's how you deliver beer!), but not unduly so. However, the other reviewer's observation made me wonder whether I should be concerned about the chemical makeup of the transparent tube (absent any outside marking/grading indications). Most of the delivery tubing I have are marked with use and/or manufacture information. They were all inherited or purchased locally from the local brick and mortar brew supply stores before they all seemed to vanish last year). Time to do more research on that subject. Anyway, while the transparent line feels somewhat stiffer than what I'm used to, it does not kink anywhere I've installed it in my systems. So far so good. But I have no clue if this is or is not the same as off-the shelf big box hardware stores sell. I'll just keep cleaning and sanitizing until I learn anything different. Recommended. One star down because I'd really like to see some effort go into marking the tubing indelibly - not that it would actually be meaningful if a rogue manufacturer was out to make a quick buck. But it's touching a food product, so I hope there is some regulation. ... show more
