  • Exactly what I needed for a fence gate replacement
Color: Silver
Our old chain-link fence gate was rusted completely through. I purchased this pack of 4 brackets, and some 1-3/8 inch fence pipe, and built the new gate frame, then moved the chain-link section over and attached the clips. After swapping out the rest of the hardware (hinges, latch) it works perfectly. The brackets are very sturdy and appear to be cast very well (no holes, cracks, gaps, etc.) ... show more

  • Seem a bit light like maybe they will break easy
Color: Silver
They are perfectly shaped for my application, but seem very lightweight. Only the winter will tell if they will hold up. Also one nut was missing. I got lucky and found just one in my stash with the same threads.

  • Build chainlink gates and more
Color: Silver
I have used a lot of these gate corners from various sources. In some types of corners the 1 3/8" chain link top rail pipe (up to 20" long) just slips in and you have to drill and use screws to secure. This doesn't allow for later adjustment or disassembly. So I use the gate corners that clamp onto the pipe. With some corners I've used, tightening just one bolt down can break the flange, making it useless. I've learned to tighten all the nuts a bit one after the other to avoid this. With these, I tried tightening just one, but it didn't break, so these are stronger than some I've managed to break. I make gates and panels up to 20' long with four corners and one vertical support in the middle if more than 10' long. All panels are 5' high. Usually I make 10' x 5' panels with no extra supports. To make a fence removable I cut 2' sections of 1 7/8" line pipe and set in concrete where each fence post goes. Then drop 1 5/8" line posts in. Each 10' panel can be clamped to the line post. If I remove two clamps and pick up the end, I can open the panel if needed to get equipment in or out. Remove the other panel, swing it open, and lift the post out, and 20' is opened up. If I move, I can take it all leaving only the 2' pieces of pipe in concrete which can be covered up. When I put in a gate, I use two gate corners with short pieces of 1 3/8" pipe going down into the two gate posts with a top piece the width of the gate opening. This allows me to tension the wire while keeping the posts straight up (to tension I screw two 2x4s to the end and use tie-down straps to ratchet it tight). If I don't want to use panels, I use a top rail and set the line posts in concrete. For each gate, four corners for the gate and two to connect to gate posts works. I don't use chain link fencing, but 5' no-climb 2"x4" horse fencing which costs more than most fencing, but much less than chain link with the end bars and hardware and is lighter, strong enough, and more important my wife likes it. I've also made dog kennels that clamp together without posts with a shed roof added with tiedowns to keep the wind from moving it. No local store stocks the 20' 1 3/8" top rail and shipping is too high to order online, but the local Ace Hardware ordered both the fencing and top rails and 8' line posts with no shipping costs. Ace doesn't carry the corners and I could drive 150 miles and get them at Home Depot, but at $8.98 each, I think I know a better source. I used to get them from Zoro by the case, but now they want $10.68 each. ... show more

  • Decent gate corners only suitable for light use
Color: Silver
Our application is for a small farming operation. Die Cast aluminum construction. Includes a complete set of hardware. Too light for cattle but possibly useful for poultry or smaller animals such as goats or sheep perhaps via a man/small gate. No complaints but I think a formed tubular gate is probably a better option for strength. I can’t rate it for anything but what it is. 5 stars as it fully meets expections. ... show more
