Love these gates! Mainly got them to put all the way around my patio to keep coyotes out while we are out so they don’t get my little dogs. Fold up nicely and out of the way when we are home. One of the boxes didn’t have the hanging accessories so I contacted the company and they immediately got the ball rolling to send me my parts even during their Chinese new year with the factory closed. Excellent customer service and staff. Sent me emails almost everyday letting me know when it was going to be sent out. Got my parts 2 days after sending from their factory. We received the gate very quickly, which was awesome since we needed it for our "escape artist" who chewed up a wooden gate. The only problem with the gate is the lock was broken when we got it & we can't latch the gate. We didn't realize it was broken until we had it installed. At this point we are using zip ties to keep the gate "locked". Upside is that the gate has stopped our Lab from escaping! I have tried to find a contact number to request a replacement lock, but have had no success. That is the only reason I didn't give the gate 5 stars. ... show more

We needed a higher gate because pup can (and did) jump our 3' wood fence on deck. We ziptied it to current fence (comes with screws but could not figure out how to screw into our house) - wheels roll great. Very good weight - not flimsy. There is a latch that locks - need the key to lock - wish it had a latch not lock but we secure it without lock. The paint around the locking bar does get bit chipped due to wear and tear but we use it 5-6 times a day outside so not unexpected. When snow comes will probably have more issues with wheels but great inexpensive solution to our needs. ... show more

This is exactly what we hoped for! Looking to be able to have the bedroom slider open with a screen this summer and to wake up before a bear enters the room. This will be perfect! Not saying it would keep a bear out, but it will buy us some time. It looks GREAT and folds small. Being able to flip flat against the wall in winter when the bears aren't out will be great too! I will update this review as needed, as I am currently discussing this issue with the manufacturer. This gate is not really 6-1/2'H, it is closer to 7' 3" at the frame brackets at the ends, as shown. Even removing the casters from the unit, you'll still need at least a 7' H opening to fit this gate. There is no way to make this gate fit a space that is only 6-1/2' tall. Since this listing disappeared from Amazon shortly after purchase, I contacted VEVOR directly to address the situation. After many times back and forth on their customer support message system, they offered to ship the "correct" size replacement gate. The replacement, too, was well over 7' tall. Their response when I contacted them about having shipped yet another gate that would not fit a 6-1/2'H area included, "The warehouse staff said that the product is okay, and there may be some deviations in the product." Deviations, perhaps, but nearly a foot difference in height from what is advertised? It appears their height measurement is of the gate interior once the gate is fully extended, but the height of the gate as a unit is well over 7', even though their advertisement lists the height at 6-1/2' in the contracted position. If you are not constrained by the height of this gate at the frame rails, this might be the security gate for you, but if you are looking to fit this "6-1/2'H" gate into a 6-1/2'H opening, seek elsewhere. ------ UPDATE: Based on the fact their "6-1/2H" gate was nearly a foot taller than advertised, I had VEVOR ship a "5'H" gate as a potential replacement. Unlike the "6-1/2'H" version, the "5'H" gate was only a few inches taller than advertised, leaving it too short for my 6-1/2' application. (Once again, VEVOR was unwilling/unable to tell me precisely how tall their "5'H" gate was before shipping it to me.) They recommended requesting a partial refund through Amazon. BOTTOM LINE: VEVOR gates are NOT, in fact, the height stated in their advertisements. Their customer service was ultimately helpful in sending replacement gates (and offering to let me keep the previous shipments), but could/would not provide the actual dimensions before doing so. 4 stars for the customer service, but 1 star for not providing a security gate as actually described & sold. ... show more
