They come nice and clean (with the help of some InkEeze and a dry paper towel), and they're thick enough that your practice won't push through to the other side and into whatever surface you're working on. As a more advanced tattoo artist myself I’d say this is my safe option but there are definitely some negative things for one just like most fake skins you’ll have to do 3 to 5 passes just to make the line visible second you have to wipe the stencil away 30 min to hour if not the stencil will stay on no matter what try but again that’s pretty much all fake skins:)) ... show more

I bought this to practice hand-poking. Previously, I had been practicing on bananas and oranges, and wanted something a bit more skin-like. This unfortunately didn't work for me. The ink barely saturated the skin, and the ink residue just smeared and stuck all over the outside, making it impossible to actually make out any design. ... show more

I am new to tattooing, so I ordered these fake skins to practice with my new tattoo gun. These skins are much thicker than the practice skins that came with my tattoo gun. The thickness makes it easy to put ink into without worrying about the needle shredding the surface or going through the other side. Overall, I am very happy with this set and although I may try a thinner set of fake skin in the future, this was perfect for what I needed it for. Where do I start for one the fake skin doesn't take the ink unless you use tremendous pressure and risk damaging your tattoo machine . Dulls cartrage very quickly. Have to make pass over pass over pass for your black ink (Dynamic xxxblack brand I use) and when you go to clean up are you just tattooed the ink is very hard to remove and you rub off your stencil during clean up whitch leaves you guess on you design. I do not recommend these skins for practice because a beginner tattooist may think same pressure needs to be applied for human skin and ot would seriously damage the client skin and all lines would be blown out. Absolutely a waste of your money and time. Better off spending the extra cash for realskins or frankenskins easy clean up feel more closely to human skin . This stuff feels like a basketball and bounces your needle all over Maki g it impossible to tattoo clean. ... show more
