This stuff is great! I ordered a variety of samples to find the right pattern and do some tests on the materials I was wrapping (MDF, mostly). It sticks very well (assuming the surface is clean and smooth). I didn't even have to heat it to get it to wrap all the pieces I used it on (including a collection of odd-shaped cabinet panels). It looks great, and seems to be very durable. I was worried a little about the surface standing up to water, hot, cold, and abuse, so I wrapped a small board and put it through the paces. Nothing short of jabbing it with a screwdriver bothered it. First-time wrap users need to be cautious. You MUST have a clean surface, and you MUST take your time. Vinyl wrap is thin stuff. It comes on a paper peal-off backing that makes you think it's really thick stuff, but it's about as thin as aluminum foil. It WILL show every little blemish, grain of dirt, crease or other blemish you wrap over, so if your surface is dirty or has imperfections, this is NOT going to hide those. For those having trouble with the pattern, the WIDTH of the sheet is the fixed width of the roll, which is 60" in this case. The LENGTH is the 12" increments you buy. The pattern runs in line with the LENGTH. So for this brushed pattern, the lines (brush lines) of the pattern run along the length. ... show more

I’ve loved other 3m vinyl. But this is just ok. They cut it weird but the finish looks terrible. I bought vivid at the same time and installed both on my car. The 3m looks cheap and plastic and the vivid actually looks really good. 3m handles much better than vivid but their both solid quality and the difference is only slight. To me, the finish was everything and this failed in that. ... show more

The product itself is very nice. Looks great in my car. But as other people have stated the issue is with the way the brushed grain goes. I understand that it is made with the grain going the long way on a 5' wide roll. So when they sell 1x5 piece we get stuck with grain that's 1' wide. It would be nice if a seller would just cut some 5' pieces then cut them, down to 1'-3' sections the other way. It sucks having to buy a 5'x5' section just to wrap a 6" tall piece of dash trim. ... show more

The material is easy to work with. I taped a printed out pdf to the vinyl and cut with an exacto. Easy to do and went into my application well. I'm pleased with how it turned out. Photo's look great. My template could have been better, but the vinyl is perfect will buy again if I need more.

I like the look of this vinyl with its brushed metal apperance but I have to issues with it which will keep me from purchasing it again. 1st its to shinny a matte finish would have been much better. 2nd and this is the DEAL BREAKER, ITS VERY THIN! way to thin unless your surface is pristine it will show every line and flaw your material has. It would be nice if it was at least 5 times thicker then your surface wouldn't have to be perfectly smooth. ... show more

Package came in good shape, looks and feels great. Wish the metallic design went the 60" direction, but still looks awesome. Easy application once I did one panel. Whole roll of 12"×60" did all the trim and center console in 2002 bmw 330xi! For $22 I'd buy it again.

Blows vivid wrap out the waters, even a rookie like myself was able to tackle my e90 Trim and make it look decent. Great wrap for trim. Sorta thin but that helps out in the hard to wrap corners
