I purchased this to bring the humidity down in our 1850 square foot house which was high at 62%. I started the unit in the afternoon and by morning it was brought down to 49%. I bought this larger unit, hoping my humid basement would be dehumidified. It did, and it went from 57 to 38, which I set it for. It is using continuous quiet mode and draining into my sump pump well. I go over it every couple of weeks, and if the clear filter light is on, I check it; I pop the filter cover screen and check it, but it has not been clogged. The recommendation to get a dehumidifier came from my Orkin pest control agent, saying the high humidity attracts pests and helps them flourish. Ok, so mission accomplished. But wait, there's more! My adult son, who lives in the basement, noticed right away that his sleep was much, much better. Excellent. And, here is another surprise: my upper floor is also dehumidified, as monitored by my humidity gauge to the same 38 value. One note: Make sure if you're using it in continuous mode that the tube stays where you put it, In my case, under the sump pump cover, because it really works. I keep a SimpliSafe water sensor by the sump pump, just in case. If you don't use it in continuous mode, then it drains into the built-in reservoir and automatically shuts down when full. Very Satisfied, I wish I had known what the benefits are long ago. Who knew? Now you do. ... show more

I've lived in a really humid apartment in Minnesota; running the central a/c constantly to try to get humidity out to no success. I bought this dehumidifier to remedy the problem. Totally impressed. It's completely taken out all humidity in our 958 square foot apartment. And now I can live comfortably and not have the a/c on so much. The comfort and savings on the electric bill are so worth it! I set it to dehumidify to 35%. And it actually got our apartment down to 35%!!! I highly recommend this dehumidifier above all others. Affordable and efficient!! ... show more

I bought a unit way bigger than I need so I could get the pump. In order for the pump to work, a button on the back side near the drain has to be pushed in. Neither of the adapters (2 sizes with 2 different sized hoses) push the button in, so the pump won’t work. I’ve emailed customer service.
