    • Hard to find anywhere, except Amazon.
I use one of these in a white lightbulb socket in ceiling of garage to plug in garage door opener motor/light unit. If I didn't have this item, I would still have an extension cord draped across the ceiling and down wall of garage to socket. Will be using extra ones in brown ceiling sockets in another garage I have, so I can use overhead light bars that have three prong plugs on them. Unable to find these at Ace Hardware, Home Depot, Menard's, Lowe's, Walmart, Tractor Supply, and local hardware stores. On date of garage door project, installer suggested I go on-line to find this item because no one seems to have them locally any more. And my residence is in a metropolitan area. ... show more

I used this for outdoor lighting dimmer kit that had a three prong plug. Screed the adapter into an outdoor floodlight socket so we could control it with an indoor switch.

We had these when I was little, I put these in my light outside so I can hang lights. I'll update next month when I do Xmas lights. I did Halloween lights & the neighbors loved it, I don't have out let's on the outside of my unit. So I connect to my outside light, it works.

I tried using these in a light fixture, but the tip on the end of the adapter wasn’t long enough to make contact with the lamp base, and it wouldn’t power up at all when connected. I tried them in another lamp holder and they worked fine, but the problem was they weren’t long enough to work in all the lamp holders. What’s more, two of the adapters broke when I tried to unscrew them from the fixture. The plastic casing is completely separated from the top, requiring me to rip them apart and carefully extract the remaining base from the socket.
