  • Vice
Exactly what I expected

  • Decent
It’s a decent product, a bit smaller than what I expected, but it works for small projects where you don’t want to pull out your beast of a vice.

  • Great small clamp device!
I really like that you can move it around with a clamp or bolt it down.

  • Great compact table vise, not for big jobs, but fully capable for smaller jobs!
Size: 3.2"
I can't believe it but this is the first vise I've ever owned. I don't know how I've managed to live without one for so long. Anyway, overall this is a decent small vise. My only real complaint is the opening of the clamp on the base. It's only about 2 1/2 inches of opening which is not large enough for the long side of a standard 2x4. There's no law anywhere that says us DIYers have to build things out of 2x4s but it's so common I would assume that anyone buying a vise like this might need to clamp it on a 2x4-sized workbench! The other option would be to include some screw holes as an alternative. But it does the job! Pros: - Compact if you have a small shop or bench - Wide vise opening - Included jaw pads for sensitive items - Inexpensive Cons: - Base clamp opening too small - Swivel clamping is lever small and a little hard to turn" ... show more

  • Good enough to be called a vise and be useful.
Size: 3.2"
I worked in electronics, automated machines, machine tools, etc. and have always had a need for a way to hold things while i was soldering, filing, cutting, fitting, all the many, many things that you need a vise for. "Real" vises are hardly portable, often over 50 lbs. by themselves. And I have attempted to work with many "hobby" vises in various degrees of horrible. They bend, break, slip, and often the only thing holding them together is the leadscrew. You often have to hold the jaws in alignment and the workpiece while tightening. Many are just raw castings and are floppy and sloppy and miserable to work with. I had a couple of the best at work, but now that I'm retired I miss their handiness. I wouldn't normally buy such a thing unseen, but I looked the pictures over closely, and being offered for review, I thought I'd take the chance so you don't have to. It looked pretty good in the picture, like a vice and it's made of ferrous forgings and quite heavy for it's size. I got it today, and let myself be surprised. It's actually a miniature vice and it looks like it was built by people who know what's important for a working tool. The movable jaw and the body are dovetailed together for a good fit and little slop. The leadscrew is about 12mm and is actually acme threaded ! The jaws are held parallel and serrated, they also are removable and replaceable and have soft covers for surfaces that might be damaged. I doubt that you would be able to break anything without a cheater on the handle. The table clamp would probably let go before you hurt the vice. No, it's not for pipefitting and I wouldn't take the "anvil" too seriously, but as far as hobby vises go, I think they can call it "Heavy Duty". It does need a dab of grease on the lead screw and I had to adjust the 12mm. torque retaining nut on the bottom to my liking for the swivel. The swivel is a little rough, I can feel that it's painted and should get better as that wears off. It's actually more like a small bench vise than the hobby vises I've seen. The table clamp is fairly robust and has about an 11mm. screw. It also has rubberlike covers to protect surfaces. It almost got a 5 but the top surface of the ways are painted so the clearance will increase as the paint wears. But I'm impressed enough that I will buy another if I need two. ... show more

  • Great bench mounted vise
This is a very nicely made, vise that is great for stabilizing your small to mid-size projects. It does what you’d expect and need for a permanently mounted table/bench vise. It comes with mounting bolts. It opens/closes smoothly and rotates decently , though that will get better with time and use as the paint wears down some. The jaws are replaceable It’s heavy as it should be but not quite as heavy as larger full-size mounted bench vises are, and the anvil portion is bit small and is integrated into the vise itself and is not hardened steel, so keep that in mind while hammering away. I’m not sure how much I’d really be comfortable hammering all-out on something, though your bench will probably give out before this vise does. It’s an excellent value for the $$. ... show more

  • Good vise
This is a great vise for a small workshop. Can clamp or be bolted on top your workbench. It comes oiled so it won't rust. Good gripping force.
