Very small bag, probably suitable for 1 or 2 mid sized pots, depending on how much is mixed into the soil. Comparable prices for 2qt perlite are all over the map, so hard to comp, but $9.99 seems fair. No problems with the product or delivery.

This is perlite and is what I expected. It came in a reclosable bag which is nice since it's rare that anyone would use all of it at once. I took a picture of the back of the bag. I thought it might be useful for those of you who are just getting into gardening. I've always used perlite with my indoor plants. It holds moisture which then keeps the soil wet longer. It also helps keep the soil from getting packed. Unfortunately perlite isn't easy to find in the big box stores. I have found it but usually in large bags, i.e., a lifetime supply. So, I was happy to find it on Amazon on a more manageable size. This product is nice. The perlite is a good size for indoor plants and there isn't much dust in the package. I just scoop some out in my hand, mix it with my potting soil and I'm good. ... show more

I make up my own potting mixes and got this to add in with the batches. This perlite is a good-sized granule that can hold and later release water because of the puffing nature of the manufacturing process. This is an inert product that works good as a moisture extending vehicle without adding anything to plant roots except water and the nutrients in the water.
