  • Great soil with mycorrhizae
Finally the time of year where I can start transplanting my indoor starts into grow bags outside so the soil bags I bought this winter are getting put to use. Some of the bags had some white mold in them when I opened them which I took as a GOOD thing because it's proof that this soil includes healthy soil microbes and mycorrhizae. I knew that when I bought it so I expected some amount of fungi since the soil isn't dried out and is full of nutrients! Seeing beneficial white mold in a bag of soil like this is a sign that your soil has had some moisture properly locked in by the sealed bag to keep it from becoming so dry that it is hydrophobic, and that it is loaded with good nutrition for plants. The fungi should not harm your plants, and actually serves a purpose in the soil breaking down nutrients and benefits healthy root systems by making those nutrients more available to your plants through a symbiotic relationship. I specifically looked for a soil that had mycorrhizae because of research showing how beneficial it is for the root systems of plants. FoxFarm soil might be a bit pricy but it is full of good quality plant nutrition and highly recommended for a reason. Don't be afraid of a little white mold in healthy soil! ... show more

  • Quality potting soil for indoor or outdoor potted plants
FoxFarm Happy Frog potting soil is a quality product that provides good drainage and supplements for my potted plants. The soil doesn't clump or become hard like other mixes that I have used. My plants are thriving so I am happy using this soil.

  • Ships fast!
As always, this company ships fast and uses the proper carrier for heavy items to my area. Having used this seller I am sure that 2 bags of Happy Frog will be here tomorrow. If you haven't added Happy Frog to your gardening game then let me say "get some!". You can pick it up at a store surely for less, but it's nice to have it delivered right to your door sometimes. Happy Frog isn't really strong with nutrients, that' s not its purpose--but it has lots of beneficial bacteria and microbes (mycorrhizal fungi) that will really get your plants started off great! Mix some in with your normal garden soil and do a comparison for yourself with another plant that doesn't have Happy Frog, you'll see a noticeable/notable difference. One bag (2cf bag) will give you about 14 gallons of soil, which when added at a 1 to 3 ratio with your growing soil would give you 56 gallons of growing media for those using containers. Happy Frog does great in containers, good drainage. You can grow in Happy Frog soil only, but you'd be well served to juice up the soil with some granular fertilizer for the growing season. You can also go liquid nutes also with Happy Frog as your only growing media if that's your game and you know it well. I've been using Happy Frog for years and am here to testify! ... show more

  • Excellent soil
My 1st grow in potting soil was mediocre with some leaves showing burn. Next grow I used Happy Frog and the difference was remarkable. Bigger, greener, faster growing plant. It was an auto flower that got 30% larger than advertised. This is going to be my go to for soil growing.

  • Quality Potting Soil
Primarily, I used the potting soil for "up potting" my tomato and pepper seedlings (about 50 seedlings). The composition of the potting soil was very good. Other potting soils I used had wood chips which I needed to sort out for the "up potting". The seedlings are doing great and growing at a quick pace. I would highly recommend this product. ... show more
