So, I guess my hobby now is growing various pepper plants. I had heard great things about this product and wanted to try it. I was not disappointed. I used different potting mediums to see which my plants liked the most and by far it was Ocean Forest. The plants in the fox farms mix grew larger, had more blooms and produced beautiful, large peppers. I'm looking forward to trying new products and may put this up against happy frog for the next round. It's a lot more expensive than soils you can buy in the big box stores, but it seems designed for growing medicinal herbs. It's worth every penny. I don't start adding ANY nutrients until well into the vegetative stage, and it isn't until flowering that I start switching to 50-75% recommended levels of "Bloom" type nutrients. Well, I guess I use a mild Cal-Mag boost for most of the life-cycle as well, but Ocean Forrest will treat your plants right with not much help. I'd give a bag a try and see what it does for your indoor plants. ... show more

Always seem to come back to FFOF. Excellent right out of the bag but you can also add amendments to it such as worm castings,biochar,etc for even better growth. Would recommend for the first time groet because it's fairly idiot proof. If growing cannabis you might want to use some type of fertilizer organic or otherwise after about the 3rd week in flower as this mix will not sustain it all the way through.
