I work nights and had a really hard time sleeping during the day because the sun is sooo bright in my room. These are perfect and apartment friendly. They are actually wayy too long for my windows but its perfect because I can cover the sides of the window and the bottom as well to keep out as much light as possible. I just pull them down when I want to look out the window. The neighbors can also not see in the house- as I tested this out at night by turning on my lights and going our side to see if you could see inside- couldn’t see a thing. The texture and the color are beautiful but the adhesive should have been stronger. I had a SO put the curtains up for me. They stayed up just fine for a day. I woke up the next day to the curtains down on one side, so I adjusted them. Once again, they came down again the next day. They are great at blocking out light, that's about it. However, when I wake up to began my day, I like to allow some sunlight to filter in. I keep one side open and tied back using what came with the curtains. The material is very nice but as for them staying put without having to constantly readjust them every few hours or every day, it's gonna happen. Would I recommend?, not really. I got ready fed up with putting them back up constantly. So, earlier today, they began to fall down again. I just checked it as a post cause and gave up. ... show more

The curtains do black out any light when they are hanging up. But the Velcro strips will not stay stuck to my wall or window frame and they fall down multiple times a day/night. It’s not worth the hassle of keeping them put up. We got these because we weren’t allowed to put holes in the wall or frame for curtains in our rented home. I would not recommend. ... show more

Curtains are a nice color and look good but having to reapply adhesive tape multiple times. Needed to add adhesive tape twice in a week. Will keep applying sticky tape till I can afford better window dressing.
