I haven't used one of these in years, but with a new puppy, I decided to give it a try. I mainly bought these for my wife to use, since the 'puppy' is large and sometimes difficult for her to manage. My labradoodle responded immediately to this whistle. I believe it will be helpful while training him. I would say it's well-made, but I don't know how something this simple could be badly made. Review as of June 1, 2016. So far this product is working great. I have a 4 year old French Bulldog who just recently began to develop a very dry nose. I looked at various cremes and formulas on the internet and came across Snout Magic after looking at a very similar product. Both were organic and consisted of the same ingredients however Snout Magic was 25% cheaper, and had great customer reviews, so I decided to try it. Whenever the package arrived, I initially thought that the aluminum tin was a small, until I opened it. The creme is more like a lip balm consistency, and will provide many uses. Once I received it, I went ahead and applied it to my pup. Like the instructions state, I gave him a treat to keep him a little occupied, but he still went at it. Thankfully he can't exactly reach it. The instructions state that it takes about 3 days (applying it 3 times daily), however within the second application, I began to notice a difference. It is legitimately working, and is VERY noticeable. My frenchie has his nice shiny black nose again. Since purchasing the product the customer service has been great and consistent. I have been contacted to ensure customer satisfaction. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone wanting to cure a dry nose for their best friend! UPDATE: June 22,2016 It has now been 3+ weeks of use and I truthfully regret not purchasing this earlier for my frenchie. His nose remains nice and smooth. I apply as directed (My dog now knows what the sound of the tin can means). The only con for myself is that treats no longer keep him pre-occupied... he immediately tries to lick it off. The frisbee wont even distract. What I ended up doing is apply it around his sleep/nap times. He is almost to lazy to keep on licking at it! :) ALSO: prior to applying this, I TOTALLY forgot to take a before picture. I did however find a picture that was taken a few days earlier, and I was able to zoom in some so you could see how dry his nose was. I included both the before and the 3+ weeks after photos now. My dog's nose is so soft and no longer dry ever since I started applying it to his nose in a very short time. It only took about 3 applications to see the difference. Amazing product. I highly recommend it.

I wish i took before and after pictures but I noticed a substantial difference after only 3 days. I have a pug and her nose is always dry. When i put this on she tries to lick it off but it STILL works. I have started putting it on her nose and immediately giving her a bone to distract her with, i think has kept more on without her licking off. ... show more

My choc lab doesn’t necessarily care for this being rubbed on his nose but tolerates it since he gets his “vitamins” right after it every night. (Glucosamine, chondroitin, etc supplements) so far I’ve just been rubbing it straight from the tin and don’t have to get it on my hands. When it gets down to a lesser amount left in the tin I’ll have to apply with my fingers but it does wash off pretty easily. Has made a little difference in the scaliness and dryness on his nose. I wish I had taken a before picture. I cannot emphasize how bad my dog's nose was--cloudy white/gray, scabbed, occasionally would bleed in the cracks. I felt so terrible for him. Our vet had just told us to use coconut oil. I tried it for months and saw zero improvement. Then a friend of ours told me about this salve. I know the directions say to put it on three times a day, but because of work I could only do it twice a day. Still, I saw improvement in just a few days. His nose now looks almost normal and I'm down to putting it on once a day after breakfast. I am so grateful for this product. It's great! Allergies, a change in vitamin supplements, and a brutally hot summer had made my dog's Hyperkeratosis unmanageable; so, we needed a better treatment. Ultimately, we found that Snout Magic works best (twice a day). Within ten days, her nose ridge, for the first time in her adult life, completely disappeared, and all of her cracks are almost completely healed. Snout Magic will now be a part of her daily life forever. Compared to other balms and salves, Snout Magic is smoother, and easier to apply into every part of the snout. If I get a bit inside her nostril, my dog does not sneeze or seem bothered by it. She is less likely to lick it off, and she does not hide from us at treatment time. Its labeling and instructions are superior to other brands, and its price per ounce is a better value. Customer service is also very important to the seller.
