Description

The Pet Safe Wireless Fence pet containment system is a revolutionary concept that provides the safest, simplest form of pet containment ever. Plug in the transmitter somewhere inconspicuous in your home. The transmitter emits a 17.5 kHz radio signal around your home. Your pet wears a lightweight receiver collar that "listens" for the signal. While the collar is receiving the signal, your dog is free to run and play in your yard. When he approaches the boundary of the signal area, he receives a warning beep. If your dog does not return, he receives a static correction which is startling but not harmful. With a little simple training, your dog will quickly learn his boundaries. The training of your pet is a key element with the Pet Safe Wireless Fence. Follow the easy instruction and training manual that is included.

  • This product works!!
Our two 20 pound dogs have a love of digging under one side of the fence and running around the neighborhood. We tried everything we could think of. On top of that, on the other side of our yard live 4 large German Shepards. And when they started terrorizing each other through the fence, it sounded like someone was about to die! The Pet Containment System was easy to set up and understand how it works. Our dogs never go past the safe zone and no more digging or terrorizing the neighbor dogs. Only problem we've encountered is their potty area is now smaller as they used to go out by the fence. So I think we'll have to lower the settings to allow for a little broader area for them. Highly recommend this product!! ... show more

  • 9 years and still going strong
I was looking back at orders, ordering a new collar and we’ve had this system 9 years! Use it every day and my labs have never broke through the barrier. My neighbor purchased same for their Golden and he would blow through the boundry. Thankful we never had that issue. Learning curve for my dogs as they did flop like funky chicken first shock. Then a few weeks they’d hardly leave porch after that first shock but have learned. It’s saved us heartache and absolutely worth money for us. ... show more

  • LOVE IT
Our dogs had a wire electric fence for years - we were afraid with the round boundary of the wireless that it may be an issue (compared to the 1.5 acre rectangle we had). They have never ONCE tested the boundary. The install was literally two minutes and the fence worked immediately. We have only had it three weeks so I cannot speak to the battery length in the collars. Buy it today! ... show more

  • Not worth the money
This did not work at all. As we tried to place flags and hold the collar listening for the tone; we walked from the house perpendicular but the collar did not sound most time. We were only able to place 4 flags very far apart and the collar did not beep if you walked between the flags. I can't take the chance that is will not work so I am sending this back and will purchase an underground system. I will try out the underground before burring the wire. I'm not sure if this would work in town with a small flat yard, but did not work for us. ... show more

  • Collar issue!
This is a superb product. The reason I gave it a four is because one of the collars does not work all the time. I am very disappointed to spend that kind of money and have one collar fail to perform correctly. I can put the collar on, having tested it before I put it on, and in a little while that dog will have gone through the boundary. If I take the collar off and test it, it is not working but if I turn it off and then back on, it will work for a little bit and then repeat the same thing. This is very frustrating because I live on a road that is very busy. It is not dependable. I know it is not the strength of the signal but the collar itself. The other collar and the wireless 300 is fantastic. We tried it out and walked the dogs around the boundary. As soon as it beeped, they were aware of something different. When they got over the boundary, it buzzed them, and they came back. Now when they go out to the boundary and it beeps, they turn around and come back. But if the one collar does not work, then that dog goes on without the other one. Hd both collars worked, I would have given this a 200%. ... show more

  • Beware of any obstacles.
I am sure this is a good product, but for once I read the instructions before removing all of the contents. I saw that there were many things that can cause interference with the boundaries for the "fence." Some of the things that can interfere are cars, metal sheds, in fact any metal can interfere with the barrier. I feel that this will make it very difficult for training, and even determining where the barrier will be from day to day. I'm disappointed that this will not work as I felt that it could be a great way to keep the dogs safe and in the yard without burying wire or putting up a fence. ... show more

  • Works like a charm
Have a Husky that ran off every chance he got. Now he barely leaves the porch!

  • Do not recommend.
Does it work? Yes... for the 5 minutes the batteries have a charge. Don't bother with this system if you plan on having your dogs outside for any length of time. There's no easy way to determine if the batteries have died while your dogs are wearing the collars. There's no way to tell exactly how long the batteries will last. The batteries are expensive and have to be replaced frequently. Yes, there are youtube videos on how to replace the batteries yourself, but regardless of that, they still don't last long and you'll need to frequently replace them as well. I don't recommend this system. Short battery life, replacement cost, and no indication of battery loss of charge has let our dogs learn to test the collars and determine they aren't working and wander into the street or the neighbor's yard. Don't recommend. ... show more
